Having spent a week in Mexico, mostly at the resort but also eatign out several times, this was our favorite spot!

Not only is the food here fresh and delicious, we had a beautiful view of the Cento Zaci right beside us. They provide a balcony too where you can see it from above.

The service here was very good, we spoke Spanish but I believe some of the servers here also spoke English. I had no problem navigating my gluten allergy. Luckily, Mexican cuisine does a lot with corn vs. wheat flour.

It was also very well priced for the quality of food we got. My husband particularly liked seeing the tortillas getting made fresh by hand just outside the kitchen.

We had no problem paying with a credit card. This is a great place for people of all ages. You have to tackle some steps to get in, but otherwise, there is plenty of space. If you ever have the chance to see this town (it's beautiful),...

Shocked...Had great expectations as the large roof and spacious dining area draws you in .HONESTLY . We walked out without finishing our meal .40 minutes waiting . First part was tiny bread slices 4cm by 5cm and MARGARINE. Tiny plate of thinly sliced fruit and a tastess purple cold drink and a WARM coffee ...left 90 % of what was served and despite telling staff that still waiting for 30 minutes for main part of the of the breakfast then walked out after 40minutes . I've written many reviews but this is worth the effort to say AVOID what they served we left.. ...If you want a good chicken sandwich go to SORIANA supermarket only 39 MXN ..or large hot ham and cheese roll 32Mxn ( inside entrance about 7metres on the right )Also next door delicious hot pastries..( about 22Mxn ). Large latte 50MXN at ADO Bus terminal Looking for a real local Bar with lunchtime atmosphere FREE nibles with 45 Mxn beers then 1 minute walk from ADO bus terminal is El Yuk Tko on the corner .A real non...

Great place to stop in Valladolid to/from Chichen Itza. There's a cenote on the same site (cenote zaci). Parking on the premise or on the street outside. You can pay to go to the cenote and swim. We did not do that. You can see the cenote from the restaurant - making it a very unique and cool location! Food is Yucatan i.e. no tacos or beans or rice, etc. They have a platter that you can order to sample the different dishes - seemed popular. Note - very limited vegetarian options. I ordered the veggie empanadas which were tasty! Btw, there's a lady there that's making fresh tortillas - just amazing! And there was a live musician - which made the atmosphere very warm. Prices were very reasonable - we had 4 entrees and 4 drinks and paid about USD 65. Again, it's a great pit stop to/from Chichen Itza and if you have time, you can also swim in the...

The place had a very high ceiling, tables were places apart more than any other restaurant I have been to in Mexico. I can guess that the main reason people come here is so they can also enjoy the cenote. Unfortunately, as of this time, the cenote was still closed and guests cannot go swimming. It is however observable from the balcony in the restaurant, though the view isn’t something I would recommend going out of the way for. (The cenote’s water is quite dirty right now.) The food wasn’t anything fantastic, but the frijoles con carne that came out in the very beginning were superb! The Longaniza were a bit too dry and hard for me to enjoy at all, and the Filete Especial Zaci (chicken) was ok.

Zaci is a stone’s throw from downtown. We came here after touring Chichen-Itza and couldn’t be more pleased. The menu isn’t in English, but don’t be deterred. This is the place to go if you want some really un-obnoxious local food. The beer was cheap, the food was delicious, and the cenote was gorgeous. They’ll actually seat you with a view of the cenote if you ask! We got guacamole, Chicken Pibil, and Poc Chuc (Mayan Pork, marinated in spices and seared.) After you dine here, your waiter will give you a free ticket for Cenote Zaci, which is right next door. There’s plenty of parking if you’re driving a rental car, as well.

All 4 dishes came out COLD. Seemed like they were plated quite a while before they were brought to us, yet our orders delivered quickly. Check out the beans in my picture though, and they certainly don’t look freshly scooped. They’ve been there a while. It was impossible to get someone to come back to complain and get it fixed, the servers were too busy sitting around one of the tables on the back end of the restaurant. To top it off their electronic payment system didn’t work at the end of the day. I’ve lived in Mexico for the last 15 months and this place is up there for the worst.
