Okay, okay, you came for a review. And I'm about to serve it up HOT...or rather, breezy and cool, much like the beautiful May day my boyfriend and I spent on the Monty B.

Booking with Tim was easy, and the walk to the pick-up point was lovely. We were greeted by Tim and Masha (she makes one HECK of an alcohol-free basil marg). Two dogs are aboard, but I'm allergic so they were kindly left below deck.

We chose the 5-hr experience, which FLEW by. Tim gave us an overview of the day and off we went for what proved to be one of our favorite adventures to date. Tim was a teacher in his pre-nautical days, and reaped the benefits with historical lessons on the various sites. Before stopping for our pre-packed lunch, we had the chance to both participate in the sailing (I'm a pro, Tim said so!) and even had the special opportunity to play with dolphins by sailing next to them. What a treat!

Tim and Masha perfectly accommodated our request for non-alcoholic beverages and I can only imagine the kind of drinks Masha can wiz up, given that her NA options were A++!

This two-person crew navigated our moods as expertly as the bay itself, and seemed to just know when we wanted alone time, and when we were down to chat. There's no pressure to do either/or, but I encourage all guests to pick Tim's brain at least a little. He has a fascinating history, but I won't leave any spoilers here.

Safety are of the upmost concern for Masha and Tim, so fret not! You are in good hands.

Speaking of hands...don't even THINK of spoiling your experience with endless selfies and panoramas...Masha and Tim have that covered! They made sure to capture photos of the scenery and the two of us, so that we could enjoy the moments. The photo drop came that same night and we were delighted with the HUNDREDS of shots. We didn't even know many of them were taken, which I appreciate!

We were definitely bummed to leave the yacht, but we're happy to have warmed her up...

Yacht Monty B – 5 out of 5 stars for the yacht, Katie and Tim. For a special birthday I planned a holiday in Kotor with my girlfriends. The highlight being our sailing trip on Wednesday 22nd May. Tim picked us up from the front of our hotel in his dinghy and took us aboard their beautifully crafted yacht. We felt like royalty. We were welcomed aboard with very sensible health and safety guidelines and made comfortable. We were shown a map of where we were going to explore to ensure we were happy with their plans. I can’t describe how stunning the scenery is, absolutely beautifully relaxing. It was great that they got us involved with hands on sailing, though it wasn’t forced upon us, only if we were willing. Tim gave us some history about the sites we were seeing (but without going into too much detail so it became a history lesson) and both Tim and Katie answered our questions. Tim and Katie could detect when the weather was going to change in certain areas of the bay (has its own micro climate due to being surrounded by high mountains) and kept us in the sunshine throughout the trip. We stopped off for a swim in the crystal clear waters and after we’d dried off we were presented with a bottle of bubbly/glasses to celebrate my birthday, followed by an incredible tapas lunch which we all loved. They took great care of us and I would say this day was the best birthday day I’ve had in my life. Nearly forgot their 2 sweet sea dogs that were friendly but without being in our faces...

On Sunday 1st September, we embarked on our 5 hour trip, pick up and return to Tivat. We had an amazing time with Tim, crew member Emma and Bertie the dog. Prior to the trip, Tim’s communication was first rate and the information provided on the MontyB website is extremely thorough and helpful. Tim gave great advice prior to the trip, giving guidance on where to pick up taxis, what to bring and we made contact on WhatsApp the day before the trip as planned. Once on the boat, drink refreshments were supplied throughout the day. Bertie the dog was extremely friendly, and his presence just added to a wonderful afternoon. My ears have never been so clean! We had lots of interesting conversations with Tim and Emma who were both so easy to talk to. Tim kindly gave Oliver and Anna the opportunity to learn some sailing skills which they really enjoyed, and they created amazing memories. In the afternoon, a delicious vegetarian picnic was provided. There were numerous opportunities to jump off the boat, swim in the sea, snorkel or relax on the back of the boat with your feet dangling in the water. We can’t recommend this trip enough, the personal approach from Tim and Emma made it worth every penny. Thank you, Tim and Emma, for providing such a memorable day. Maybe we will sail with you again in the future if we get the chance. Good luck...
