Tanja Marina Bay is an ambitious project to renovate, enlarge and beautify the Tanger Ville Port and downtown beach area. This major project involved creating a new fishing port, building a modern passenger terminal and a marina for large yachts and smaller boats.
The Tanja Marina Bay complex will eventually include luxury oceanfront apartment residences, a 5-star “W Hotel”, shops, cultural venues, cafés and restaurants, underground parking garages, promenades and green gardens landscaped with flowers, shrubs and palm trees. King Mohammed VI inaugurated the new Tanger Ville Port mosque in the summer of 2018.
The original 1950s-style passenger terminal was demolished and has been replaced with a new and greatly improved terminal with a soaring ceiling on the entrance level. From here there are several up escalators and an elevator.
Once you have your passport stamped on the upper level at a Moroccan Customs booth, you walk to the departures lounge. There is a café-restaurant called Tendy's, and toilets.
Getting to your ferry boat is easy as there is a down escalator and you walk to your boat, showing your ticket and exit stamp in your passport.
The Tanja Marina Bay complex has several excellent restaurants and cafés. It was opened in the summer of 2018.
Unfortunately, however, it is not easy to cross the six-lane autoroute called Avenue Mohammed VI (formerly Avenue d'Espagne).
The city must install a few stop lights to control the traffic and make it safe for people--local residents and tourists to cross this busy highway.

Read moreI can say that this place is a new horizon for enjoyment and pleasure. Even if there are little cafes opened. The place is clean and secure even though you might meet some junkies there. Concerning the services. Food there are very expensive and the place is not designed for medium class population. The tax value is increased. It is just a tourist spot for people to eat and enjoy the view of the sea. Once you are there, avoid walking on the grass, otherwise the security personnel will whistle on you. Avoid standing on the benches. Avoid sitting on the grass too. Apart from this. Enjoy your day in this spot. Down the walking space there is a park to put your car in. Yachts are not much there. The place is still new. On the night there is a Romantic restaurant which provide lunch on candles and there is an African singer who sing there in English. The Amazing thing is that police officers are serving there 24/7 so you won't have any trouble there. Only the price is way too...
