Anzar — Restaurant in arrondissement de Tanger-Medina طنجة المدينة

The service at the front door- respectful but business wise horrible. We waited 1 hours at the bar for the host to let us know if there availability to be seated in a table. The place was empty only 1/3 of the restaurant full after an hour of waiting. the time spent for us waiting for the table ( which there was plenty of) they could of sat us down ( party of 2 nicely dress fyi ) we could of order drinks ( which we did at the bar) full course meal and hookah/shisha. after an Hour wait for nothing, my wife and I decided to leave and go to Casa Jose ( I highly recommend). Cant review the food because we could not even try. for high end restaurant in Tangier in comparison to the other high end restaurants the drinks wise although very good, was overpriced ( or normal American/euro prices which you should not expect for this area..) price for food was fair.

The Atmosphere is 9/10 very worth going, felt like it was in retro jazz club in the 1920s

I would understand if the restaurant was full and busy , they did recommend us to make a reservation, however when the restaurant is not even close to full ( 1/3 full) why make people wait. there was also serval people at the bar as well same situation and end up leaving... sad really

Overall I gave it 4 stars because the drinks and shisha were overpriced! The food was tasty no complaints. The show was also nice but the atmosphere was not family friendly after midnight! Although it was not crowded at all. I would say there were more waiters than customers. We were a party of 10. They gave us plastic red fans as it was hot at first. They were like cheap fans that most companies would give away as advertisement to my surprise as we were leaving the basically snatched them out of our hands and even said you can’t take those look our name is on it. For me what would’ve been a positive experience was completely ruined by this action it was low and unwarranted. We had spent so much money it was very ill taste for them to do that!! And they were heavily tipped too!!!! Too bad management is stupid… I would recommend training in...
