Hotel Kunja (Lakeside, Pokhara) — Hotel in Pokhara

I stayed at this hotel a year ago for nine days due to work, and I had a great experience. The room was clean, had a balcony, and was very affordable. (below NPR 2,000) Everything was easily accessible, and since we booked through a client, the overall stay was pleasant. Because of that positive experience on my next visit u called the hotel without even trying to negotiate the price, as I trusted their service. However, this time was completely different. We were given a non-balcony room for Rs. 2,500

The room had several issues: No charging port beside the bed, except for one at the edge, which wasn’t even working. A kettle with an extremely short wire, making it impossible to use. (Tried but kettle didn't work) A broken toilet seat cover. No cups or tea bags in the room, despite having a kettle. Additionally, the one who showed us the room didn’t believe that I had previously stayed here for under Rs. 2,000 and even teased us about it. It felt like they were overcharging one-night guests on purpose and putteing guest in dark rooms with no facilities. Overcharging for such rooms. If you are planning to stay in Lakeside, I do not recommend this hotel. The only reason I am giving one star is for the AC...

We were a part of group tour from gorakhpur to mukthinath comprising of 14 people from all south indian states except tamilnadu We reached late night at hotel kunja. We were so tired after a 13 hour journey The rest 2days we were there and one more day on return from mukthinath The hotel was quiet naive near fewa lake and roof top restaurant had the best view of the lake and adventure zone nearby The entire staff cant comment a name, all were better than one by one The rooms were adequate and neatly maintained with all required things there The food was exemplary, mouth watering, stumptous All were helpful and so kind to make us comfortable The entire property including the owner came us to see off and wave us to kathmandu A nice cozy hotel, a option for people going to pokhara Best of luck...
