The attention to detail at The Lake Front Hotel is fabulous. We couldn’t be more delighted with this magical and incredible find. I have a young family and we were in search of a great swimming pool and also a wide selection of food at a restaurant in Pokhara. Through ‘word of mouth’ we came here to the lakefront hotel, and frankly, we could not ask for more. We got both!
The entire complex here is so attractive to the eye and it’s such an inspiring setting to be a part of and spend days with your family (or couple or single person) The Swimming pool has an adjoining young persons pool. I was absolutely impressed with the life jackets my children could use ( which I couldn’t find in any other Pokhara swimming pool). This made it one of the best factors. It’s not too deep either.. but deep enough for a comfortable swim. The bar you can sit at whilst swimming.. plus ordering from the menu.. is fab! But it’s the whole atmosphere… the live music that you hear whilst eating or swimming, the selection of lightings that contribute to the uplifting environment with the different style of seating areas. Even though you are under cover, it feels like outdoor eating. There is light throughout. The high ceilings are beautiful and the combination of glass, wood, metal, slate, stone and brick give the whole complex a modern european feel. The lake itself is only meters away, and this is another fantastic perk.
Where ever you are sat, there is a gorgeous feel that makes you feel ‘happy’! My children and I loved sitting and painting the views and playing cards. The menu is definitely the other reason that we spend time here. There is a wide range of meals on offer… European, Chinese, Indian, Nepali. Something for everyone. The quality of the food is absolutely fantastic. Plus, the cost compares fairly to other restaurants in Pokhara. It’s very reasonably priced which is another great factor.
I haven’t mentioned staff yet. Of course, a great place needs great management and Krishna is an absolute superb manager who is very approachable, very focused on ensuring the hotel runs at its best. There is communication throughout the team everyday.. and this certainly raises the standards. Staff are friendly and professional. He has a awesome team of waiters, reception staff who are all so professional. The kitchen chefs are so talented and whatever you choose from the menu, it’s brought to you at its best. This to me is another reason I love it here. The cleaners and maintenance team are great behind the scenes. The moment it rains, staff take care of the premises and this is always clearly seen. The environment is spotless. We are so happy to have found this beauty of a restaurant and swimming pool. It’s definitely on the top of our list for spending time and enjoying ourselves next time we return for sure. It’s so comfortable. Certainly book a stay - it’s a wonderful place for making...

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at Majestic Lake View in Pokhara, Nepal, and it turned out to be a unique and refreshing experience. Unlike typical hotel buildings, this property feels more like an open resort. The hotel is spread across a large open ground and features four separate buildings, each housing approximately 20 rooms. This layout offers a lot of privacy and open space, making the environment peaceful and relaxed.
Between the buildings, there's a beautifully maintained small park with swings, hammocks, and hanging chairs—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the tranquil surroundings. One of the highlights is the swimming pool, which is clean and well-maintained. It has a depth of 5 feet on one side and 3 feet on the other, making it suitable for both adults and beginners. There’s even a shallow section for children, which is a thoughtful addition for families.
The hotel also features an open-air restaurant, where guests can enjoy meals under the sky while listening to live music performances. It creates a very lively and enjoyable atmosphere, especially during the evenings. The restaurant is connected to the swimming pool, so you can dine while enjoying the view and vibe of the poolside.
In terms of rooms, they are spacious and well-furnished. However, the bathrooms could use some improvement—especially with the flush systems, which were not always functional. Aside from that, the cleanliness of the hotel is top-notch, and daily housekeeping ensures everything is tidy and fresh.
One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is its location. The front side of the hotel opens directly to the main road (Mal Road), giving easy access to shops, restaurants, and the local market. On the back side, it connects directly to the lake, offering stunning lake views and a peaceful ambiance.
When it comes to food, breakfast is a real highlight. The hotel offers a wide variety of options including traditional Nepali dishes, goat meat items, vegetarian curries, breads, fresh fruits, juices, tea, and coffee—there’s something for everyone.
Overall Rating: 8.5/10
Majestic Lake View is a great choice for families, couples, and even solo travelers looking for a peaceful yet lively place to stay in Pokhara. With its open design, lake access, vibrant restaurant, and friendly service, it stands out from many other hotels in the area. A few improvements in bathroom maintenance would take it even...
