New favorite Maastricht restaurant. Very high quality food and very reasonable prices. Owner has an impressive beer selection that includes some Belg bottles that are tough to find in the Netherlands. Staff are very personable and professional. No detail is missed. Will be visiting each time in Maastricht but also would be worth the drive if not local. For this first visit I had the Bruschetta Pomadoro for a starter and it was very good. Bread was toasted lightly to increase the textural contrast without creating a tough crouton that is hard to bite through without losing the toppings. For my main I had the Spaghetti Fruitti de Mar. This was simply amazing. Pasta perfectly el dente, sauce light but flavorful, each seafood cooked perfectly without being over cooked which is a major challenge give the many different types and sizes. I went here during carnival. Even though there were places available, they wont offer it to me because i was alone. 2 or more ppl were offered the seats. A business decision i get it.

Anyways, I was tired and hungry, so asked them to pack pasta and some fried mushrooms with garlic. For two things together i paid 30 euros, ao hoped for a decent quality. When i arrived in hotel and opened the bag, the oil not only spilled on table but was so much that was dripping on the floor. Why fried mushrooms had to be floating in half a litter oil I dont understand. I am lucky that the hotel dint charge me for damaging their carpet!

Now to the taste and quality of food; it felt like something you would buy in supermarket and heat oven. Only big difference is pasta corner’s food gave me diarrhea. So if its still not clear, i highly recommend...
