The Colombo — Attraction in Christchurch

The response to my review was somewhat disappointing. Despite showing proof of three transactions over this period, emailing the management twice with no response my parking fee was not revoked unlike one of my friends who was with me who was unable to produce receipts as she paid with cash. I am so sorry for the retailers who appear to have not a lot of customers. I wonder whether it is due to word of mouth about the parking, I wish someone warned me. It is interesting that an awful lot of the reviews are about the parking. Do you think perhaps the signs which we did not see are enough. Another shopping area I frequent have a small notice on all of the tables. This shopping area is bustling. I am asking if you reconsider my request to have this revoked as you did my friend Andrea .*

Avoid the mall. This used to be a thriving mall it is now a fraction of what it was and any wonder. Two friends and myself went for a catchup and overstayed by about 30 mins and were sent a $65 parking ticket each. None of us noticed the signs or we would not have stayed that long. Despite me appealing this and sending proof it separate transactions I was declined my appeal. My main problem is the mall was deserted for all but an hour while we were there and even then was not overly busy. We were spending money and supporting the mall but that did not seem to make a difference. Very disappointed to say the least. Will I go...

Not what it once was, but still ok. Sadly let down by their militant parking policy. I met a friend for coffees and we had a good old chat - walked out of the mall a short while before closing time (mall had been pretty deserted the whole time we were there). We stood by our cars for a short time chatting further. A few days later we both received parking fines for being over their three hour limit by a few minutes. Management not even interested in addressing my thoughts on this. I have heard of it happening to several other people since and reading the reviews I can see we were not alone. Wont be supporting them in the future. Given how quiet the mall was at that time of day you would think they'd be encouraging people to linger rather than turning them off permanently. Plenty of other places providing free parking to enjoy instead ETA: I tried several times to discuss this fine with The Colombo and they totally ignored my messages. Yet now Ive posted here they are suddenly interested in me...

Hi just letting people know about the parking fines at the colombo. Meet a friend at the mall a couple of weeks ago we had a great lunch and spent time shopping at the fashion shops. Mall was very quiet lots of parking spaces which I liked about this mall. I had a small issue with a coat that I brought and the shop keeper fixed the issue straight away and pressed the coat, turns out I over stayed my parking by 13mins and received a $65.00 parking fine. I have left two messages with the message service asking for someone to call but of cause to no avail. Fine due to be paid on Tuesday so looks like I will need to pay it. I will think twice about going to this mall and will be reluctant to promote it to my friends, happy to take my money...
