Had a very bad experience here, the restaurant is dark and depressing. The restaurant lady owner is the most rudest person I’ve ever met in my life, has a bad attitude and a strong personality like she's always angry all the time and grumpy. I made an online order that's already paid for and left a note on the order that my father will pick it up, when my father got there he said he's getting his daughter takeaway. They gave him someone else's order and told him to pay $95 dollars for it which he did and assumed it was mine because the lady told him that's probably your daughters order. When my dad showed me the takeaway I told him it's not mines it's someone else's food that he paid for. So we went back to exchange for my actual online order that I already paid for and told the owner this is a miss communication and mistake they gave me someone food that my father paid $95 for something we did not order. The owner starts yelling at us saying it's our fault calling us weirdos in-front of everybody when she's the scammer and would not give us a refund back and force us to eat someone else's food that we did not order at all ! Why would we want to eat something we did not order? Not only we left empty handed with no refund and no food we were absolutely disgusted at her behaviour, we called back later to discuss this dispute like adults, we gave the lady time to speak and she confirmed on the phone the order indeed did belong to someone else because that customer came looking for it but instead gave it to my dad, when it was our turn to talk on the phone she starts talking over us and yelling on the phone making up stuff saying my father abused her when he did not touch her at all! Asked if she knew what the word abuse means and she couldn't even define it, he just pointed at her because she walked away trying to ignore the situation and not return our money. She has no morals, no customer service skills, bad attitude and doesn't know how to handle customers she could atleast speak to us politely, but robbed us $95 dollars and empty handed. Never in my life I encounter an owner like this. There are way better Yum Chas avoid this place at all cost, this place doesn’t even deserve 1 start if I could I would give a negative!! place needs to be cancelled after the trouble and embarrassment they caused us today which could have been resolved properly if she wasn’t so rude and understood the nature of...
Read moreEverything was fine today until when I went to pay for the meal. The person before us had a problem with her card and it took a while until she made her payment. I was waiting with my son and the white guy came after us with his bill. I went up to the boss lady to grab a takeaway box and wanted to pay when the lady before us was done. She said to me in Cantonese that if she could help the guy behind me first. I was a bit confused and said okay. But I thought that I needed to take grandma to the airport while she was grabbing my takeaway box. So I told her that I wanted to make the payment now when she handed over my takeaway box. But she insisted that she wanted to help the Pakeha guy first so I told her in Cantonese that I queued up before the guy, I didn’t jump the queue. And she said to the guy in English that “Can she pay first?” I didn’t turn around to look at the guy as I was putting my card in the eftpos. She asked the guy a couple of more times “Can she pay first?”while I was doing my pin. So I said to her in Chinese again that I came first and I didn’t jump the queue. And she said to me “Sometimes the Kiwi customers get angry with that.” I didn’t get upset and said anything in the restaurant as we were rushing to the airport.
They get angry with what? Boss lady. They get angry when they don’t get the privilege to get served first??? You are not worried that I as a Chinese customer get angry when I didn’t get treated with respect and equality. What you did to me today was absolutely rude and ridiculous. I didn’t jump the queue and you acted like I was the wrong one and it actually was humiliating when you asked the guy if I could pay first and you made everyone in the restaurant think that I jumped the queue. I didn’t need his permission to make my payment first, neither did you. Please reflect what you did today and hopefully you figure...
Read moreWe went to have yumcha to celebrate our daughter's 10th birthday as a family but was advised they don't do normal yumcha and we had to order off the menu. This was the first disappointment then its their business decision so I don't have any issues. However below issues are something very serious so make sure you watch out. Make sure you check every dollar they charge. It was 5 of us, two adults and 3 kids. We don't let the kids drink anything with caffeine in it so we asked for tea for two only when we were first seated and prompted. When we were checking out we found out we were charged for the tea for 5 at $1.50 each. I asked the lady what happened and she said tea is charged for all. I said I had already told you earlier we want tea for two only and asked cold water for 3 kids. Then she replied that water is $1 each. So we got our $1.50 back on this, $0.50 difference each for 3 kids. Why would they want sacrifice their reputation for a mere $1.50 is beyond my comprehension. The cold water we received was delivered by a 9 or 10 year old kid. We asked her whether kids drink tea in China or Chinese people start drinking tea from young age and she said no. That cold water had a tiny particle (comtanination) at the bottom of the cup. We paid $3 for some dirty contaminated water, likely tap water coming out of old rusty pipe. Dumplings were way too soggy possibly left too long in the steamer. So was steamed bbq pork bun. Fried rice had too much oil. Taste wasn't too bad. Chicken feet and beef tripe were excellent. Siu mai was good too. It was quiet so we were able to converse quietly as a family. Why giving it a 5 star experience...
