I visited on 19th Aug 2021 around 9am.
Entered the store,
One lady is at casher.
One store manger ( kinda green shirt ) he was making a coffee and one lady is at cafe.
Three or a few more staffs.
Btw This is my first visit to Farro Fresh. The products they sell are fresh and lined up in the cabinet / shelves beautifully.
It's easy to find what I'm looking for.
I remember that only two staffs was greeting at me “Hello” one lady with glasses was cleaning up the organic section area :) other friendly staff was at meat section area... Only two I was so surprised!! Thank you to these only two people!!
So I remember the store manager ( saw name tag with “ store manager” ) was making coffee and waking around the shop. I thought I could buy coffee so When I went to the casher to pay my items, the store manager was serving.... I asked him “ do you make coffee” and “ he said no” I understand it’s level 4 so of course. I told him “ I asked you coz saw you are making coffee and drinking.” his respond was
Store Manager : “.......”
Awkward......
Store Manager : “$$ pay wave?”
Me : “yes, thanks”
Store Manager : “........”
Me : “ Can I keep a receipt?”
Store Manager : “........”
Giving me a receipt
Me : “..........”
I was like ( Can’t he say THANK YOU!!!!! Really!? Is he the store manager!!!)
At this shop Only two staffs can geeeting!? I understand other full or part time staff don't greeting but A STORE MANAGER CAN NOT SAY THANK YOU or HOW ARE YOU TODAY!....
I have more than 15 years experience in the services industries!! I can not believe!! I was really disappointed with him / store manager. I know there is more farro fresh in Auckland. I might visit others and will def compare to this shop. You guy sell beautiful products ( higher price compare to other super market I don't know why so different but..) I love it coz you have something can't find others. Anyway It does worth to spend there, don't wanna support his shop so I won't go back again.
It's lockdown and farro fresh is small business not the big supermarket, it's not about products it's more customer service you need to improve. Understand products quality but couldn't see much a quality from staffs.... Especially the store...
Read moreI've been shopping here for a while now, mainly for the good selection of products I typically can't find in other supermarkets.
However, over the past year or so I arrive at home (20 minutes drive away), to find a product I purchased has expired. This has happened to me 3 times now. The worst was spending $60 on lamb for a dinner party that had a completely off-smell and I had to ask one of my guests to drive to the closest store to find alternative lamb for our dinner recipe.
The most recent interaction occured when I came in on Monday and the person in the fish section told me they were 'definately' receiving fresh tuna from Fiji tomorrow, and it arrives at 11am, and I should come from 12pm to collect it.
I came the next day, and a different person was in the section and told me they don't have fresh tuna available. I explained that I was told there would definately be fresh tuna today and I drove all the way to come and collect it for a special dinner I was making. How can a store tell a customer they will definately have stock of something the next day and then they don't? This was a waste of an hour of my time.
Also on Monday, I picked up a chocolate on your shelf that expired in 2021, and put it back down again. Selling expired products in a niche, expensive store like this is not acceptable, neither is telling customers they can come in the next day to pick something up, when in fact the product was never even...
Read moreI’m sure it’s a nice store, but the online ordering is SO bad.
I live in Hamilton but will be in Auckland next week, so wanted to order an item to pick up.
You HAVE to register for an account to be able to do this. No guest option.
To register for an account you HAVE to include an address, even if you only intend to pick up, rather than have something delivered.
I used my Hamilton address, and was not able to create an account… even though I’m picking up.
(You also have to include your birthday, not optional. To order one piece of cheese.)
The form kept resetting back to the start thanks to my “invalid” address.
So, I used a random Auckland address. Finally made it to the checkout. There’s a $5 charge for the privilege of driving to the store to collect your piece of cheese.
I’ll just order from the Christchurch delicatessen I found which delivers for $10, and doesn’t require me to have an account for my cheese purchase.
Edit: Despite not ticking the box that said you could email me marketing, I’ve now received a marketing email I certainly do not want. When I clicked unsubscribe I was able to input my email address, but when I submitted was directed to a 404 page not found, so can’t even...
