Waitangi Park is a great open green space for just relaxing anytime of day. Surrounded by small trees offering shade. Great for a picnic or field games as well as rough and tumble for small children. Toilets are close by.

Had to work there all day. Accessible restrooms, cafes, and lunches available within 75 m. A New World 5 min walk away. Expensive parking- $35 for all day in the metered lot. Takes credit cards with pay wave, at least.

A new memorial Park in central Wellington. A great place for bridal party photos for wellington weddings. I've used it a few times. Dave - von photography Wellington wedding photographer

A wonderful and popular, recreational park for youths, it is always in use until late into the night especially in fine weather. It is located opposite the New World supermarket, right next to Te Papa Museum and has a skateboarding rink which in recent times has hosted international skateboarding events.

There are also other skateboarding ramps and runs for beginners plus a basketball court. You will find many different age groups on all forms of wheels at this park. Closer to Marine Parade there is also a children's park and coffee vendors for the those minders who need...

Great skateboard park. All sorts of rides and ramps for all abilities. Flatland, bowls, ramps, pipes, fun boxes, rails, the lot. The park itself is just a big piece of grass and is often used for large events. It's nice in summer though some shade is often required (there are a few trees but not many). If it's wet however, this place does get a little boggy so choose your days. There's a basketball court, and some seating for eating lunch on a sunny day. Small rock climbing walls and a little creek and bridge to break up the concrete...

There are so many events that have been held in this park. Good for big crowds and entertainments. Yesterday was a festival and lots of people enjoyed the environment and lots had picnic there on the ground and listened to the music's and watched entertainments. Close by, is the skateboard park and opposite the New World supermarket. On the other side is the waterfront, and you can enjoy the walk around along the waterfront, and you can pop in to see our Te Papa museum along the way, and much more to see further...
