Fantastic café that’s truly committed to serving high-quality coffee at affordable prices. They also offer ice cream and pastries if you’re in the mood for a little something on the side. It’s clearly a local favourite- expect queues during peak hours that can spill out the door. Sometimes we do pass-up this place if the queue is too much as seating is also a challenge when it gets busy. The service is casual and staff are warm and welcoming, and the spacious interior has a laid-back, community vibe, with mostly indoor seating and a few spots outside. It’s a dog-friendly venue too, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself giving the occasional pup a pat! They also host quirky little events from time to time- like typewriter day (see photo), adding to the café’s unique charm. A great spot to relax with a brew and soak up the local atmosphere. Spot the vintage silver and blue Rolls-Royce parked out front- it’s my personal landmark for finding this gem!

I heard Wellington has great coffee, so i tried here for the very first one and it was worst coffee i’ve ever had..i guess if you have it there, might have a good one but i ordered to go and it was awful.. a guy who great me was nice and friendly but a lady who made us coffee doesn’t seems happy. If you are not happy to make coffee for customers you shouldn’t be a barista

I like the coffee. A long black exposes the bean and the individual nuances. A great roast doesnt dry out the richness that this bean gives you. I like a more sweeter bean and I got a smooth taste without the bitter aftertaste. Having an Afghan with it added to the experience and Afghans can be dry too. This one wasn't, an enjoyable break and will be back.

Raglan Roast have a number of shops around Wellington, and the one at Waitangi Park is their biggest store. To the uninitiated the shop may look a bit rough, as if they just opened, and they certainly don't waste any money on nice furniture or much decoration. They also don't do fancy food or pastries here, only some cookies and nice gelato, and coffee of course, and that's it. Have been coming here for years every Sunday, coffee is consistently good, quite a robust, dark roast, and very reasonably priced with their $20 deal: you pay them $20 upfront, put your name in the book and get either 8 black coffees, 7 regular white coffees or 6 large white coffees. Cheaper and better than any of the coffee stalls at the Sunday market, or at Pōneke...

Been several times and its been pretty good. Today… on the other hand…  Got the impression the barista was utterly disinterested in either the quality of the coffee or the customers. Coffees were tepid as they had been left on the counter for 10 mins with no notification, when i went up to ask i was met with an eye roll. Assumed it was me¬… however¬…  over the 40 mins wer I watched this happen to others… All up…  not a...
