We had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at Flavors of Rajasthan in Wellington! From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The restaurant’s location right by the waterfront adds a special charm — enjoying flavorful Indian food with a beautiful view of the harbor made the evening feel extra special. The serene waterfront setting is the perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal, whether you’re out with family, friends, or on a date.
Now, on to the food — it was incredible! Every dish was packed with authentic Rajasthani flavors, cooked to perfection, and beautifully presented. We especially loved the- butter chicken ,biryani and kadai prawns, dhal makhni-rich, aromatic, and absolutely delicious. The naan was soft and fresh, the curries were full of depth, and even the appetizers were bursting with flavor.
What truly made the experience unforgettable was the outstanding customer service. A huge thank you to Shankar and Sunil, who looked after us so well. They were warm, attentive, and very knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu and making spot-on recommendations. Their friendly and professional service really made us feel at home.
This place is a true gem in Wellington — delicious food, top-notch service, and a stunning waterfront view. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic Indian dining experience. Can’t wait...
Read moreToday , I ordered Kadai Paneer and chicken Tikka Masala with medium spice level. specially picked up the order from Porirua and drove all the way back to Wellington Unfortunately, when I got home and tried the food, both curries were extremely sweet and tasted terrible. After eating, I even started vomiting because of how bad it was.
I called the restaurant to explain the problem, but the staff were very unprofessional. Instead of listening and trying to help, they argued with me. I asked to speak to the manager, but they refused, they said manger is not here When I requested a refund, they said it was not possible and even told me that “medium means sweet,” which makes no sense. The food quality was horrible, and the service was even worse. The staff had no responsibility or basic customer service skills and the staff had no sense of customer service, no respect, and no responsibility for their mistakes. Very disappointing experience – I will never order from here again and would not recommend this place to anyone. Totally waste of money 🙌🏼.
Replying to your reply, you will only find the taste once you taste it, we took the food the porirua, after picking it up, it takes 20 minutes to drive from city to porirua.
Further more,
Staff is so unprofessional that they don’t even know how to talk to your customers or...
Read moreVERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE. Went in on Sunday at 07:00pm (not even late night) for dine in. As we entered, the staff approached and asked if we had a booking, which I said no. He said sorry we are not taking any dine in orders tonight as he had a booking of 40 people. The whole restaurant was empty and I was like sorry, have you put up anywhere on the website or any notice outside saying you are closed for dine in. He said no, I can only do take away's but that will take time as well. I requested him that we are just 2 persons and happy to wait for the food as well but he said sorry I cant take dine in. We went from lower hutt especially after recommendation from 2 friends after checking on website that the restaurant in open till 9pm. This means to every single diner coming to your restaurant you will be saying "sorry no dine in." You better should have closed the restaurant and serve only 40 people who had booking or atleast update on your website that no dine in tonight so that people do not just travel to hear at the door that "no dine in". Wonder how many diners you guys would have lost as customers on Sunday with such kind of hospitality. Definitely...
