Picton Water Taxis — Attraction in South Island

We are frequent users of Picton Water taxis who pick us up from the interislander Ferry’s and take Us to our cottage in Marlborough Sounds along with our groceries which are delivered to the their terminal are on board when they pick us up. They are extremely reliable always on time or early . On a recent trip we mistakenly left one of our suitcases at the Ferry Terminal and didn’t notice until we had carried our bags up to our bach. We rang Picton Water Taxis office and they immediately arranged for someone to go to the terminal and try and locate our missing bag which they did very quickly and arranged for it to be dropped off at our Jetty next time the had a water taxi passing our bay. Which was only a couple of hours later. We and our extended family who also use Picton Water Taxis on a regular basis highly recommend them and their friendly staff and skippers. Wal and Bet...

The team on the boats are always approachable and the Mail Boat Cruise is the way to see the sounds and learn about our regions rich culture, history and Whenua. They will also take time to deviate to view Dolphins or seals if they are around. As a long term bach owner Picton Water Taxis always leaves on time and runs to schedule but is also able to be flexible where circumstances are outside your control. Terrible service. Walked into their office, stood there for several minutes while the person at the counter was doing something on the computer. Not once did he look up or say anything, I stood there right in front of him for quite a while and was totally ignored until I just walked out. I appreciate he could have been busy on the computer, a simple courtesy of saying “I will be with you in a minute “ was all that was needed, there was nobody else there waiting.
