For health reasons I eat whole food plant based no added oil or salt. The wonderful French accent girl who took my order for the vegetarian breakfast without eggs but extra vegetables conveyed to a kitchen chef who obviously takes pride in the food he prepares. Mushrooms, tomato, spinach, corn fritters full of corn, whole meal toast, and served piping hot even though they were busy on a Saturday morning. Sriracha hot sauce, cracked pepper for personal taste available in the seating area overlooking the Picton harbour. Did I mention the side jug of hot water I requested with my Americana coffee?Usually a tiny jug, not here, they served a properly sized stainless jug of hot water. I donโ€™t usually leave great referrals but my hope is when I return they will offer all the vegans out there doing there best to unclog their arteries and help out the poor animals a breakfast option marked vegan. My warmest compliments to all the staff that worked around 9am 17 September 2022 all I saw were very happy patrons that morning and you all...

What a pleasant little accident. Our ferry was rescheduled to a much earlier departure, so we arrived in Picton at breakfast time. Due to a miscommunication at the car rental place there, we thought we had a few hours to wait until we could get our car (otherwise we would not have walked into Picton). So we made the short walk into the city and decided to eat at the Seabreeze Cafe. It was the best breakfast I had during my two-week stay in New Zealand, and thatโ€™s saying a lot because I had so many wonderful breakfasts on my trip.

The staff and, I think, owner were extremely nice, the service quick, and the food just slamming! Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed. Iโ€™m so happy we lucked into this visit. Iโ€™ll never forget it. Oh, and the view is just as good as the foodโ€ฆwell, almost. Iโ€™d still take the food...

Nothing wrong with the food in general but... Breakfast isn't all day, why is it that the staff are unable to cook an egg after midday, if you can cook a sardine surely an egg isn't that much more difficult? I think the majority of kiwis are happier with a brunch menu than heavy lunches, I didn't see many big lunches being eaten. The staff are pretty pushy at clearing dishes and putting the closed sign up at 2.30pm, outside tables being dragged inside etc. There was another group who were having their plates removed as they finished them while others were still eating. Surely in these tight times the cafe would be a little more flexible with it's menu and opening times? I really dislike cafes that shut too early. I don't blame the staff but the owners should give staff some cleanup time after...

Well i had great expectations for this cafe and chose it against another restaurant. Alright, wrong choice I guess. I am quite disappointed about the food: I was hoping to have some real delicious sea food cause we are just at the heart of marlbough sounds however the oysters are tasting strangely bitter; mussels are fresh but the white wine cream sauce is not really contributing to it... My bf had lamb Salad and fish cake... Also so lala. Compared to other restaurants we've been to in NZ the food is definitely not the best. HOWEVER staff is nice and this cafe has a really good location. Only for drinks might be not bad.

So we got a moa cider and a pan fried fish and chips and salad which after a hike out to the snout I absolutely inhaled. They had great music playing also which I enjoyed. The food was fantastic, a lovely fish and chips and a really nice salad to go with it which I liked a lot, not just lettuce but cucumber, dried tomatoes and red onions etc. It was a really nice place and the staff were really welcoming and had a laugh with us. Really great. I will probably be back tomorrow as well ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

It's one of the crowded cafe I ever been too. I didn't try lunch but the coffe is what asked for. The view of harbour with a cup of cappuccino is all what I wanted. The staffs are really friendly and they remembered me once I visited second time. Even its too busy it's worth to wait. They close at 2pm so there aren't any dinner tho there is a bar to enjoy with your lunch. If you visit picton I highly recommend to grap a coffe if you have patient to wait in the lunch time (always) ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™Œ
