Me and my husband had the worst experience with Farmers Albany perfumer corner and its customer service. This morning around 10:30 we arrived at Farmers to purchase 2 Chanel perfumes and the elderly blonde lady treated us very rude from the beginning. We wanted to make sure we are getting the correct model of one of the perfumes and thus asked the lady multiple times and she confirmed that it was the one we were looking for. We purchased the perfume and opened the packaging right away and figured out that it was not the one we looked for.
We went back to that lady, told her that it was an incorrect one and thus, we would want to change it to a correct one. She started shouting at us saying that she is an old lady, and thus she can not remember all the details of the products displayed nor check each of the perfume types. She kept on saying that she is a kind person and that she is upset because of us. We only came to the store to purchase perfumes and it was our right to know about the product prior to the purchase and she can not simply blame us for nothing. She also said that we should not be coming to Farmers perfume section and that we must go to a Chanel store if we want to purchase Chanel perfume. She then shouted at us again that we need to pay more as the correct one costs more.
She did not provide any explanations and kept shouting at us that she is upset. We could not believe how unprofessional and insulting she and her service was.
We decided not to purchase anything and requested a refund for both items. We looked for a customer service team to lodge an official complaint, but we got directed to the counter instead. We explained the situation and he said they could only be given a refund in voucher only as one of the perfume was the correct one and the other one's packaging was removed. We did not want to purchase anything at all at this point as of the horrible service we have experienced.
The manager in charge then came and did process the refund, but he did not say a word at all as well.
We have traveled four hours to purchase the perfume and it was supposed to be a gift from my husband and this lady has ruined our whole day. We feel shocked, discriminated, and disappointed at the level of service that Farmers Albany provide to its customers. We will never be going back there and I hope no one will experience the same thing...
Read moreI was shopping for lingerie at Farmers Albany the day before yesterday . My daughter enthusiastically helped me pick a few red items. I thanked her but told her they werenât what I wanted. I didn't notice that she hasât returned them to their original places. Shortly after, A staff member snatched the another underwear I had intended to buy from my daughterâs hand, saying she couldnât do that. My daughter was startled and clung to me, crying in distress.
Later, I approached this staff member and said that she could have either asked me directly to return the items to their place or patiently explained to my daughter, rather than being so harsh and aggressive toward a 4-year-old child. Her attitude was extremely rude, and she said, âMy name is Maria. If you want to complain, go ahead. I did nothing wrong.â She then called the manager over.
After the manager listened to what had happened, the staff member did apologize, but her apology was insincere. The manager, on the other hand, apologized sincerely and with respect.
This incident has caused significant emotional trauma to my daughter. Sheâs only 4 years old. I want to make it clear that I will share this story with my friends, every mom I know, and the parents of my daughterâs classmates. Furthermore, I will never shop at your store again! I am deeply disappointed that you employ such...
Read moreI had an extraordinarily wonderful shopping experience in the men's department on Wednesday with both of the sales staff and in particular Jarif who took me back to a time when service actually meant something in retail.
We've been numbed by the poor quality of service from sales staff who trudge about while at work, hoping, and almost praying, that the time flies and they make it to the end of their shift so that they can leave work.
Theyre not to blame; these large droves of younger people get employed because they accept the lower wages that managent offer, and management smile thinking thay theyve won.
Winning is having a professional like Jarif who proves that physical stores still have a place and can still make money because online doesn't offer a level of service and personal touch that he brought to our shopping experience.
We received great (though not pushy) advice and he was there to help and guide when needed and the absolute 'cherry on the cake' for me was him calling my son the next day, as promised, after he arranged that a correct size can be collected from another branch.
I said, "yeah right" when the "I'll call you in the morning to confirm that I've arranged everything". I heard that over a hundred times and I've had to call back 99 of those times.
Awesome professionalism, great service and 'please give the man...
