Normally, you can rely on Columbus for a consistent experience. Today, I caught up with a mate. We both ordered toasted cheese scones, a coffee, and sparkling water. It did get really busy while we were there, but it's no excuse. The service we had today from the waitress was rude. The coffee came early, which was great. She brought the scones over, but they hadn't been toasted, we were polite and friendly and asked if they could be toasted, she expressed extreme displeasure at having to take them back, we also pointed out we were waiting on the water. She arrived back later with scones and rudely put them on the table in a huff and again we had to ask for the water. If we'd been impolite, i could have understood. I highly recommend that some staff are given a refresher in customer service. Other than that, the food was OK, but the experience was ruined by the service. Very...

While we were waiting for our order to be prepared (at the counter), the staff casually filled the cups with tap water (for our 4 X Iced Americano). It clearly seemed to me that it is a routine for the staffs to fill the cups with tap water, rather than to use filtered water. The staff didn't even seem bothered when I was looking at her filling the cups with tap water at the sink. We would not...
Read moreI really wish I had read the reviews before bringing my kids here. We waited a long time for the Columbus Breakfast, which cost $29.50—and it was a big letdown. The eggs were undercooked, the bacon was burnt, and the two tiny sausages looked like they came straight from a pre-packed Pak’nSave bag. The hash brown was just awful.
The service didn’t help either—the waitress seemed like she didn’t want to be there at all. We ended up ordering a few more items, spending over $70 in total, and it still wasn’t enough to fill up my 10-year-old.
Really disappointing experience—definitely not worth the price...
