Our big adventure this weekend was to go on the ferry from Devonport to the city. A parking decision, our destination was to a fantastic clothing store close to ferry building . H&M store was a jewel in the crown of City clothing shopping! The ambience, shop design and fit out was absolutely stunning! Now the knowledgeable and super friendly staff were so helpful and we were offered a 10% customer discount incentive card that could be used on the day. The displays and the reasonable prices were easily navigate able. One improvement I could see was that changing rooms were located on the lower floor. No seating close to them for husbands, elderly companions! We just sat on the bottom of the stairs! Quite hazardous! Also we had difficulty finding the exit to street from lower level! Signs directing customers would be extremely helpful! I would recommend a visit to this wonderful shopping experience as good as places I have reviewed overseas. To all discerning shoppers looking for quality and value! Arthur C. Charlton west AUCKLAND NZ

Finally a clothes shop in NZ that has variety and choice of good quality merchandise, and is affordable. That is H&M! This brand is a stalwart of the European and UK clothes markets, they have excellent quality mens and womenswear and fantastic quality children's clothes, compared to the current offerings in NZ. Want great fitting and quality jeans? They have that too. This flagship store is big, it has 4 levels that offer everything from tshirts to hats, jeans to jumpers. The staff are friendly and helpful. Top tip: it is worth a rummage through the sale items, there are always great bargains to be had. Located conveniently right next to Britomart, so no need for a car, maybe just some extra arms to carry all the bags!

This H&M is situated at the best location in Auckland, very much central to the heart of Auckland city, Britomart. The store itself is huge and catchy from outside. The number of staff inside this store is in large numbers and are at every levels to help out the customers. We had a great shopping experience and finding sizes and colors was not an issue. Everything was kept in order. And the price as always was great. Recommend shopping her better than in Sylvia Park. GF and First floor is ladies, second floor is kids and home, base level is for mens. And there are heaps for fitting rooms, you will definitely miss your way out of the fitting room as it's mirrors everywhere.

Horrible experience, previous occasions I have been there my experience has been neutral but today, where to start?! I went with my nephews and mother to get some hats for them, the retailer customer representative was quite rude, when she realized our intentions was for the children to leave wearing the hats she didn't offer to cut the tags or lends us the scissors to do this, being this rude she just slowed down the service and I could notice she wanted to move on and continue with the other customer behind us,at the end I had to ask to cut the tags and she seemed bothered. Went heading out, we decided to quickly pass my woman's section to look for a sweater, one of the representatives looked at me not in a friendly manner and followed me around as I was going to steal something. Unfortunately, I'm used to being misjudged for dressing the way I do(Goth) reason I avoid these sort of places but this time I was with my family and just couldn't ignore this and decided to leave as discuss something like that is useless plus it was obvious my hands were full controlling my nephews, had no bags and just browsing as a regular person with the exception that the way I dress is not the usual but being treated in a nasty manner it's quite the...

It was as if the guy on the till was working on getting the worlds worst service award. He was rude and dismissive to my friend then proceeded to walk away and actually just pretend we were not there. In the end I had to chase him down and tell him to come back so we can just pay for our items and leave. When he saw me coming for him he actually looked like he was going to run away for a second. I was not rude/raise my voice or threaten him in any way (although it would have been nice to) If you hate working in retail that much then get a different job. He was so awful it was like we were in a bad movie.

After we left we went to the Newmarket store and the lady's that worked there sorted our issue in two minutes flat, they were friendly, happy and seemed to actually enjoy their work.

For management I have the receipts from that day so if you want to reward the Lady's from your Newmarket shop you can.

As far as the young man in your Commercial Bay store...no amount of training can turn something that nasty into a good retail front of house person. I would imagine that everyone that deals with him has a...

As someone who also works in retail, I was very disappointed with the service I received at this store.

I had purchased a scarf for $20 (with receipt, but without the tag). While still in store, I realised I had picked the wrong material and found another scarf of the same value to exchange it for. When I asked the staff member working on the first floor near the jewellery section, she told me in a rude tone that “you need the tag AND the receipt.” This is incorrect, and when she finally asked a supervisor, they confirmed the exchange was possible — exactly as I had said.

Throughout the interaction, she was dismissive, unhelpful, and made me feel like a burden. Even after I apologised twice for the trouble, she couldn’t offer a simple “that’s okay.” That is not how a sales representative should treat customers.

I left the store feeling disrespected and embarrassed. Safe to say, I won’t be shopping at this outlet again. Management should seriously reconsider who they place at the till, because customer service like this drives...
