The manager, Ally, made our experience with The Warehouse, an awful one at best. We purchased goods at another Warehouse location where we received excellent service and assistance with our purchase, one in excess of $100, of which I assume is a significant profit for the company. During our assistance at the other location, we were inadvertently provided with two items(sets of throwing darts at a cost of $4 each) that did match weights. Upon the opening of the packaging, we realized the mistake, but felt assured that a company such as, The Warehouse, shouldn't give us a hard time about such a small return, especially as this was one component of a much larger purchase, and was unused, and in its original packaging, although it had been opened. We were simply asking to exchange it for the proper size.Boy! Were we WRONG! The manager, Ally, was extremely rude, inconsiderate, and downright offensive as she implied I was a liar, and a cheat, and that they would not be exchanging the item, because "It was not in resellable condition" and that "Customers would find an open package and demand it be sold to them at half price." She tried to sell us lies, which were instantly met with truth, which only made things worse. The attitude became more hostile and it was clear that no resolution could be made. This person should be held accountable on all accounts as we're sure this was not an isolated incident. Our exchange was handled at the original location, with a smile, and no questions asked. It is the result of these actions that our personal and professional accounts will no longer be patrons of The Warehouse Newmarket location, this review is made public, and we will caution, at every opportunity, those considering The Warehouse for any potential item. Read moreI called this branch (newmarket) before visiting this afternoon (Feb 8), looking for an Instax case. Without confirming what I said, the guy on the phone immediately told me "they didn’t have it." When I pointed out that the warehouse app showed it was available, he asked me to spell it out (which confirmed he said "no" without knowing what it is)—i-n-s-t-a-x case/casing—and I even used phonetics to clarify, as I was planning to buy it as a gift. I’ve always purchased my Instax, films, and other gadgets through the warehouse and made it a habit to check the app for availability, and often found it reliable. Normally when you call people will also say truthfully if they have it or not.
It’s extremely disappointing that someone at the customer service desk would turn me away without truly checking. Even after he said no, we decided to visit the store because the app stated it was available, and we were able to buy it. We asked a staff member near the exit/entrance, who the guy is in the customer service desk at 5:36pm, and he turned out to be the same person I spoke to on the phone just around 10 minutes earlier—he confirmed his name is "SAM." Who looked like he was just taking calls (and nothing else) but didn't seem to care (nor make an effort to truly check) when we called. The store was not even busy.

Read moreExtremely sad and disappointed with Newmarket branch. I went for Shopping on Boxingday eve and I saw a bin full of toys were on discount. It says take further 60% off on yellow sticker price. After confirmimg the same with one of the employee I grabbed some toys. At the checkout I didnt get any discount. I straight away went to customer service desk. A lady over there told me she is not aware of any discount. I showed her the big banner there and she agreed. After that she called someone from inside (may be manager?) for help as she dont know what to do! After 15-20 mins wait a person came and checked and straight away asked her to refund me. She proceed to refund. Due to some technical isssue she was not able to scan one toy. That toy was $3 and was on special price of $.97. They charged me $3 for that and that lady refunded me $.97 after scanning another toy of the same price. When I asked why did she do that she was not able to explain and neither she was ready to help me find out the price from bill. She said "You have to check by your own". After spending almost 45 minutes at that counter she asked another person to help her and that lady helped me to resolve my issue.
