Beds4U Newmarket — Hotel in Waitematā

This review is on the customer service, not on priduct. I just had a king size mattress delivered. The delivery guys were 50 minutes past the 2 hour delivery window and then refused to take the mattress upstairs. According to them, it has to be arranged when purchased. I called the store, and the woman that answered said since it was an online order they just do drop off and it needed to be prearranged. No choice is given online, but apparently you have to give them the instructions to take it upstairs. Apparently if you go in to the store to buy a mattress they make sure to give you the option of placing it where you need. We paid a delivery charge, so it's not a free service to deliver, BTW. She then said, it was due to Covid that they can't go upstairs, right.... Bottom line, they need to indicate clearly on the website that they will not deliver the mattress where you need it, unless specified. I was looking to purchase a Double/Queen bed before Christmas. BEDS4U was the first store I went to. Shivani helped me with all my questions and gave me a lot of good information. Plus the prices during the opening sale wasn't half bad! I decided to visit the other stores (around 5 others) before coming back to finalize my decision. Shivani offered multiple delivery options to me but as I live very close, I went for the pick up option.

Fast forward to two days later, turns out the Queen mattress is too large for the car! Shivani offered us the vacuum sealed mattress-in-a-box option that would fit that they had in stock in their Dominion Road branch. The mattress is the same softness and the only difference is that it's a bit thicker. A good option for anyone with a smaller car! We got the mattress with no issues.

Absolutely AMAZING. I am a typical person that would shop by price but with the help of your friendly staff member Shivani, she guided me and gave me options of which bed best suits everyone in my family. I have purchased 2x Mattresses for myself and hubby and 1 for my grandfather- and Shivani made it so simple to explain which best suits my grandfather especially for his age. WE all feel like we are sleeping on Clouds LOL. My mum is jealous and my uncle is too. So hopefully by next month both my mum and uncle put their money in so that I can order another 2 mattresses.
