Movenpick Newmarket — Restaurant in Waitematā

Normally I don't like to rant, but I'm changing my rating for this place as I have had a couple of bad experiences recently. Firstly, they have increased the price of their shakes and it's now over $12 for a thick shake. But as I normally like their shakes I ordered one anyway. And this guy that served me put a small portion of ice cream and added ice to it to thicken it up. I asked him to make it again without the ice, as they have always done, and he did, but it wasn't very thick as he didn't put enough ice cream in. Definitely not worth $12. And today I returned with a couple of their stamp cards and asked if I could combine it to get the free 10th ice cream. And the same guy, who had previously made me the thick shake, served me and said he couldn't transfer the stamps because he couldn't recognize the signature on the card?!? And started interrogating me of where I got it stamped and when I got it? Like he would know all the signatures of all the employees of Movenpick? And like I would have went through the trouble of stealing a brand new card to put two fake signatures on it just for one scoop of ice cream? At this point I got very irritated and paid for my very-average-portioned ice creams. That was one of the worst services I have received anywhere, and I don't think I will be returning if that same employee is...

Again here to try to waffle, ice cream n coffee. I choose toasted nuts waffle n chocalate chip ice cream n flat white coffee with soy milk. Waffle is good as usual which crunch outside n soft inside. Different nuts like peanuts n almonds on waffle is great. Will be even better mix cashew nuts for the suggestion. Ice cream still my favorite which they could be bigger. Lol. Waffle not too sweet to come with caramel sauce dip perfectly matched. Really enjoy. Then coffee, for my personal experience, coffee is hot which is bonus, but the coffee bean they used different to Cbd store which comes Witt different flavor, not my favorite but it’s strong just different taste which I don’t normally go for it. Maybe suits for some but not my favorite choice. Have I mentioned the store environment? Really way much spacious n comfortable n cozy compared to Cbd store. Love the soft couch I sit on!! Love their slogan, let’s spoon together. Lol. Love it. Great customer service here too. If u have not tried movenpick, come here n give a go. Understaffed, underwhelmed but massively overpriced. There was only one employee managing the entire store. The girl had absolutely no sense of direction whatsoever, friend asked for a double scoop ice cream in a cup and instead got two singles in two separate cups costing much more and it was not what she asked for. Charged us for taste tests and didn’t tell us prior to doing so, instead dumped it on us at the eftpos machine and never once mentioned it. Then she turned her back to me and ignored me (who was immediately next in line) to do some non urgent things eg refilling something while letting a big queue create behind me. Once the girl finally got to me I had to specify many times I was asking for a double scoop which means two scoops in the same cup. Disappointed to say the least and will not done back to Newmarket...
