Extremely depressing place as tourist splitting my trip between Casco Viejo and Downtown. My walk through was so depressing, what a terrible vibe in this struggling mall. It is safe and clean compared to the outside area (which is quite sketchy), but nothing to see or shop for. I ended up eating at the Hard Rock Cafe one night and felt like a tool, it is basically a rock-n-roll themed Applebees or Chili's with a few customers. A lady musician was about to start playing to an empty restaurant. Felt guilty leaving. This whole area was a mistake to visit, should have stayed in Casco Viejo. I came to the mall looking for any decent casual non-fine-dining food which the entire area lacks. Read moreWe initially went to the mall to see an NFL football game, but Hardrock Cafe wasn't showing ANYTHING but the restaurant's logo on 10 TV's. The mall was practically empty. Several high-end stores were open, but no customers. It reminded me of the time during the COVID crises when everyone was on lockdown. With all of this said, we found a great restaurant, Chillin, on the first floor with outdoor seating. We were pleasantly surprised! It had several TV's and was showing the NFL Playoff games! The food was great, especially the wings and fish dinner. They only had one server for the entire restaurant. He was outstanding... very attentive, prompt, and friendly service. This is one of those, and now seems to have a few pop up stores along with the usual mainstream chain outlets.
