Parmarth Niketan Ashram: A Spiritual Oasis in Rishikesh Parmarth Niketan Ashram, nestled along the banks of the Ganges in Rishikesh, is a sanctuary for those seeking spiritual growth, inner peace, and a deeper connection with nature. As one of the largest ashrams in India, it offers an immersive experience that blends traditional spiritual practices with the serene beauty of the Himalayas. The ashram's sprawling campus is a sight to behold. Lush gardens, filled with vibrant flowers and ancient trees, create a peaceful environment that encourages reflection and meditation. The well-maintained paths lead you through various courtyards, where statues of Hindu deities stand in quiet reverence, adding to the sacred atmosphere. Parmarth Niketan is renowned for its yoga and meditation programs, which attract visitors from around the world. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced practitioner, the ashram offers classes and workshops that cater to all levels. The instructors are highly knowledgeable, providing guidance that is both compassionate and insightful. The daily yoga sessions, held in open-air pavilions overlooking the Ganges, are a highlight, offering a unique blend of physical practice and spiritual awakening. One of the most iconic aspects of Parmarth Niketan is its Ganga Aarti, a daily evening ritual that draws large crowds of devotees and tourists alike. The ceremony, held on the ashram’s ghats, is a mesmerizing display of devotion. As the sun sets behind the hills, the priests perform the Aarti with fire, incense, and chants, creating an atmosphere charged with spiritual energy. The sight of hundreds of floating diyas (oil lamps) drifting down the Ganges is truly magical and leaves a lasting impression. Accommodations at Parmarth Niketan are simple but comfortable, in keeping with the ashram’s focus on spiritual simplicity. The rooms are clean and offer basic amenities, ensuring a restful stay. The ashram's vegetarian meals are nourishing and prepared with care, reflecting the yogic principle of ahimsa (non-violence). What sets Parmarth Niketan apart is its inclusive and welcoming spirit. People from all walks of life, regardless of their faith or background, are invited to participate in the ashram’s activities. This openness fosters a sense of community and belonging, making your stay not just a retreat, but a journey towards personal and spiritual growth. Overall, Parmarth Niketan Ashram is a must-visit for anyone traveling to Rishikesh. Whether you’re on a quest for spiritual enlightenment, seeking to deepen your yoga practice, or simply looking for a peaceful retreat, Parmarth Niketan offers an experience that is both enriching and transformative.

The view, especially during the Aarti, is nothing short of breathtaking. You must have to be there. Such a great place with all the services and amenities. You need to book your rooms from the online website (min. 1 month prior of your visit) of the parmarth ashram then once your booking is confirmed you'll have the best of the experiences for your life. The timings there for the main entry gates are 4:30AM- 10:00PM. The rooms are so clean. The whole ashram gives your refreshing and calm vibes. Temples are there, you can even do yoga and calm your mind and soul. For your hunger there is a canteen or you can say restaurant which is far more better, hygiene than most of the hotels of rishikesh. The quanity and quality of food is top notch. From north indian to South indian you can have it all under one roof. The price is also decent starting from 100INR for Normal Thaali which contains 4 rotis, 1 sabji/daal, raita and rice. They are having wide range of menu, from sweet dishes like gulab jamun to sweet/salty lassi. If you're visiting there you must try the DAHI BHALLA which is such a blessing to your taste buds costing just 70 INR. You can also have wide range of pastas, pizza, burgers and so on. They have limited timing for all of the menus like BREAKFAST 8Am- 11Am, LUNCH 11Am-3Pm, Evng- 4Pm-7Pm, Dinner- 7PM-10PM Some of there menu runs whole day and available throughout the working hours. Talking about other things, It is 500 mtrs from Janki jhula and 300 mtrs. from ram jhula. The GANGA ARTI is set to start from 6:30 every evening and a must attend event. You have to witness the aarti. You can feel that power and emotions after witnessing it live. It happens beside the ganga river. The whole ashram is full of vibe and silence. You can sit there and find peace. Plan your trips accordingly and visit PARMARTH ASHRAM as it is such a under rated ashram.

It's 3 kms from ISBT Rishikesh. Parmarth Niketan is the largest ashram in Rishikesh. Parmarth Niketan provides its thousands of pilgrims – who come from all corners of the Earth – with a clean, pure and sacred atmosphere as well as abundant, beautiful gardens. With over 1,000 rooms, the facilities are a perfect blend of modern amenities and traditional, spiritual simplicity. Rishikesh – known as the “City of the Divine”- is a spiritual center to which sages, rishis, saints and pilgrims have flocked for millennia. The roads of the city are lined with bustling market places of ethnic arts and handicrafts, fresh produce markets, holy shrines and orange-robed sadhus. Then, the road narrows, the markets become more sparse and you come upon a foot bridge, suspended high over the sacred Ganga river. As you cross this bridge, the sun streaming through the sacred Himalayas to warm your being, you will feel as if you have truly come home. It is no surprise that pilgrims are drawn here from all over the world. The awe-inspiring beauty of the ashram, the clear flowing Ganga, the majestic mountains, and the lush green forests will embrace and rejuvenate your entire being. Parmarth Niketan offers comfort, inspiration and upliftment for your body, mind and spirit as well as a deeper connection with the Divine. As you stay in the ashram, you will feel your soul bathing in the peace of sacred energies, including those that emanate from nature and those that linger from the timeless healing powers of saints, sages and holy ones. Parmarth Niketan contains within it the voice and the spirit of divine communion.
