The best of the best! If you want a super fun & adrenaline experience on the sand dunes with a buggy, and sanboarding or sandskiing, look no further! Even with no previous experience ever skiing or snowboarding before, Jhonny went out of his way to ensure I got the most out of our 4 hour session. We arrived at the office at 3:30pm where we were fitted with professional high quality equipment (boots/board/helmet) and while we waited for everyone jhonny got us to practice on a balance board. We set off as a small group of 6, with 3 instructors. This ensured enough attention was paid to everyone 1:1. We started off on the buggy where the driver took us on a rollercoaster ride up and down the dunes, which was exhilarating!! But felt totally safe and professional. We started off sandbaording on a smaller dune and worked our way up, doing 5 dunes with 6 total runs, always collected at the bottom by the buggy so no energy was wasted. Jhonny is a sandboarding champion and he teaches his skill so professionally, you are being taught by the best of the best! I went from zero to taking on huge dunes with full confidence! Not only this, but he takes the most amazing professional photos and videos. If I had more time in Huacachina I would do again and again!! 10/10...
Read moreHad an absolute amazing time. I was probably looking forward to skiing in the desert the most during my trip and Aldahir made sure everything lived up to my expectations. Driving through the desert was a thrill and after reaching the top of the dunes it was a very cool experience to ski down. I got some nice skis and even walked up the dune that’s visible from the oasis to ski towards the town. The crew also took loads of pictures and videos which will be a nice memory.
If you only want to go sledding, maybe check if there are others that also sled because doing it on your own seemed a bit less fun. That being said, I did see plenty of people that went snowboarding for the first time and they seemed to have a great time, so maybe just try that out.
One last thing, I paid 150 soles but heard (and read in the reviews) others paying around 135 soles. So probably a good idea to check out the price before booking :)
All in all an amazing time and I would absolutely recommend going...
Read moreWe were initially told to be ready for 3pm, which we were. They then attempted to charge us an extra 5% on top of the 150 soles per person which we challenged and did not pay. Once we had paid we were then told we had to wait for a group, which took over 1hr. This resulted in us leaving late with a large group. While Johnny gave some good instruction, this was very limited due to the large group. Also due to the large group, we had to wait to get down each run. This resulted in us being rushed and missing 90% of the sunset, only catching the last 10 seconds. Sadly the photos and videos we received were far from "professional" quality. The majority of the my photos were blurred and video clips limited to 2 or 3 seconds. The run I did without falling wasn't captured. Don't be fooled by the marketing photos of the sunset and...
