Hospedaje Claudia Peru — Hotel in Ica

We stayed here when we changed our travel plans and our desired hotel was full. Our 'matrimonial' was huge - beg bedroom area and a sofa area and the bathroom was a good size. The bedding was updated and there were 2 additional alpaca blankets that we readily used. There was hot water. Location is good as it's on the other side of the lagoon away from the parties. |There is a rooster nearby who starts crowing early and keeps it up for hours. |The room could have been cleaner - the bedside lamps was full of dust/dirt and hair....|There is peeling paint but that was easy to overlook. |Breakfast is incl and it was at the Terrace of their sister property Hospedaje Claudia. Typical American breakfast - 2 buns each, coffee, fresh juice and eggs. |Checkout is at 12 and the sister property next door held our bags for us. |The reception staff has no English. Staff at Hospedaje Claudia does. When storing our luggage I asked if there was somewhere where we could sit in the sun while we waited for the bus. He pointed outside and said 'the desert'....not quite the answer I was looking for ( but what we ended up doing)|The entrance to the hotel is beside Hospedaje Claudia and is quite small and unassuming. We didn't booked a room in advance and because some other hostels were full we walked by Claudia II. The room was not that good unfortenately:|Not very clean floor to start with. The bucky cars outsite maked a lot of noise at the afternoon and the start of the evening, and they also started quite early in the morning. (no double glass in the windows) The hotel itself was also very noisy! (No window above the door; open space there and no door between reception/restaurant and the corridor)|No free breakfast and the payment by Mastercard was a diffucult task so in the end we did pay by card. |Finally there was a hanging bracelet coming out of the wall just next to the bed which was not removed. Estuve hospedada dos noches, la ubicación es buena. La habitación que me tocó tenía una cama cómoda y buena ducha; lo único incómodo era que la pared del baño no llegaba al techo y se escuchaba/veía todo de la habitación de arriba. La ventana daba al patio de otro hotel, por lo que si abrías la ventana se veía todo y había bastante ruido hasta las 23:30 hs. El segundo día se sintió un olor bastante feo como a desagüe que salía del baño y también lo sentí en la recepción. Lo peor fue que reservé dos tour con ellos y dijeron que iban a tener mi desayuno preparado para las 6:20 am porque el tour salía a las 7 am cuando subo al lugar donde se sirve el desayuno me llevo la sorpresa de que no había nadie. Tampoco había nadie en recepción. Después de 15 minutos llegó una sra muy amable y me hizo algo rápido, pero me molestó porque tuve que desayunar a las apuradas para irme al tour. Pensé que, tal vez, solo fue problema de un día, pero no. El segundo dia que también tenia un tour tampoco tenían mi desayuno preparado y no había nadie para que lo hiciera, por lo que me fui al tour sin desayunar. Obviamente pedí que me devuelvan el dinero del desayuno y así lo hicieron. Otra cosa que pasó fue que me dijeron que podia ir al tour con mi equipaje y al regreso me dejaban en la terminal de buses y tampoco fue así. Me dió la impresión de que por venderte un tour te dicen cualquier cosa, nadie sabe nada. Hay un muchacho muy maleducado que cuando le pregunté info de los tours, no dejaba de jugar con su tablet. Era como si lo estuviera molestando. La verdad no se si trabaja o vive ahí con un perro, pero me pareció muy descortés. Aclaro que reservé dos veces los tour con ellos porque si lo haces en otro lado no te sirven el desayuno a tiempo.
