DM Hoteles — Hotel in Ica

It is a hotel with nice environment. However, the room is quite old (though spacious) and the service is terrible. They only have 1 towel per person in the room. Absolutely just 1. Nothing more. I asked for one more cuz I have long hair. Usually I need one extra small towel to dry my hair and it is usually provided in regular hotel. When I asked for one more towel, the guy bringing the towel to my room saw I already have one towel in my room. He then started “lecturing” me in SPANISH which I don’t understand a single word. He at last refused to give it to me. It feels terrible and absolutely troubling.

Another thing is the hot water. I don’t know how the hot water system works but after my husband bathed there’s only tiny bit of hot water left. After I rub the shampoo on my hair, there’s only cold water. There’s no turning back at that point and the night in dessert is actually very cold. It leaves me shivering when I came out.

It wasn’t a very pleasant stay...

Definitely beautiful on the outside and in the interior garden, this place is probably the prettiest hotel in Huacachina. Unforunately the rooms need to be updated badly. Though otherwise clean the carpeting was dirty. There were also a few ants in the room and in the bed at night, though luckily they were not the biting kind. We were also unable to change the code on the atiquated safe in the room, which was not ideal, but it ened up not being a problem. In contrast to the hotel rooms, the bar and restaurant rooms were updated and well maintained. The restaurant and bar's food and drinks, were also quite nice for an older hotel, and the complementary pisco sours on arrival and free breakfast were quite good. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and there was 24 hour security at the door. All in all not the best place we've stayed, but one of the nicer options for a brief stay...

We stayed at this hotel for one night. The whole night I felt uncomfortable because the bathrooms were very dirty, the closet in our room was gross looking and over it was a very old, worn out and disgusting bathroom. Don’t even get me started on the black mold by the bathtub. They don’t give you hand towels only two towels for a 4 people suite! The shower curtain was dirty, moldy and disgusting! The room we stayed at only had one useable plug in the adjoining suit!! How weird is that for a hotel room in this day and age? The courtyard is pretty and that’s about the only nice thing I can say...
