QUNTU, aromas de Arena — Restaurant in Ica

They advertise 2 pisco sours for 28 PEN. But when they come they are tiny glasses of pisco sour. When I enquired they said they are promotional size. I.e. tiny. If I were to buy off the regular menu they would be larger. I said in a friendly way to them that this was cheating a little bit because they didn’t say on the promotion 2 small pisco sours for 28. Just 2 pisco sours. Honestly how much more would it cost for them to make a normal sized drink and leave their customers happy and leaving a tip. I won’t be leaving a tip now as I feel a little cheated.

To be fair the pisco sours were lovely quality and the best I’ve had yet in huacachina for taste. But the 2 of them are about the size of 1 regular drink and I wouldn’t have bought 1 pisco sour for 28 PEN as I’m on a budget.

The chicharon de pollo was tasty and filling finger food to accompany this. Not exceptional but perfectly acceptable to good.

Overall it’s such a shame they are so mean on drinks, to spoil an otherwise decent offering. I don’t like leaving bad reviews so they can keep to themselves in reply their opinion that promotion means poor quality or size.

I never really review places and when I do it’s always positive, so this is my first ever bad review. Saw the great reviews so I thought I’d shell out the cash for a big pizza (vegetariana) that I could have for lunch and takeaway the leftovers for dinner on the night bus. Unfortunately, it was the worst pizza I’ve had in a long long time.

Don’t know if I got unlucky or something but there was a literal bit of plastic in the cheese, the vegetables were raw (not great when eating huge pieces of poorly cut white onion and mushroom, the dough was basically a pre made flatbread that wasn’t cooked enough, barely any tomato sauce and the cheese was low quality. Every element of this pizza was bad, but having to pick out plastic from my food is a step too far for me. I never throw away food even if it’s pretty bad but I couldn’t stomach eating this on my nightbus.

When I raised the complaints no apology was given but they halved the price of the pizza, albeit without saying anything, so I’ll give an extra star for that. Lots of other positive reviews though, maybe I was just...

Big portions, one friendly staff guy that could speak English, yummi drinks. A bit of waiting time because there is not so many waiters but the food quality makes up for it. The portions were huge, a normal pizza size is enough for two People and the smaller portions we thought were starters were all regular meal sized portions for a small price. The only thing we did that not enjoy was the quinoa salad because it was not to our taste but the mango salad made up for it, that was great. The music box was a bit noisy with hissing signal noise.
