I found this place through a friend and when we went, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and I wanted my parents to have the same experience which was why I bought vouchers.
My parents went to Aloha Mana accompanied by my sister while I was at work. My parents loved the massage so much, and even excitedly told me all about it when they got home.
My sister on the other hand, hated the experience. Because my parents and my sister did not make reservations, my sister had to wait for her turn in order to get a massage. My parents went first. Thus, they were not privy to what happened while while my sister was waiting at the reception.
My sister started to get uncomfortable when she heard the employees talking badly about the previous Japanese customers if memory serves her right. They were complaining about how they did not pay the exact amount for the massage. She just listened and was on her phone because she did not know what to do. Unfortunately, things started to get more uncomfortable.
Context, my parents drive an old car. It’s even older than my brother. My older brother. And we’re both professionals now. So bottom line is, the car looks old.
My dad parked right in front of Aloha Mana. So when you look right outside the door, you’d see our car immediately. Apparently, after complaining about the previous customers, they began to take notice and proceeded to insult our car. Saying things like, “murag padung naman na maguba nga sakyanan. unsa mana gi parking man jud sa tungod, sakit sa mata.” (non verbatim because this happened a few weeks ago and i wanted to let this incident go, but whenever i remember what my sister told me, my blood boils)
The employees that were talking about our car obviously didn’t know that my sister was one of the people who were riding that car. My sister felt very uncomfortable and insulted. She did not want to say anything to my parents though because she did not want to ruin their experience and she did not want to hurt their feelings. My siblings and I agreed to keep this incident a secret from my parents but we are never going back to Aloha Mana and my parents will never know why because we will never tell them.
I really hope Aloha Mana trains their employees and ask them to have more empathy not only towards their customers, but to people in general. We paid their rates, we deserve to be treated justly rich or poor. I do not want anything bad to happen to this business by sharing this experience, but I just really wanted to get this out...
Read moreI rarely write reviews, but this massage salon truly deserves special recognition.
Pros: • Top-quality massage – I haven’t experienced anything like this in other salons in Cebu • Very spacious and comfortable massage rooms – lots of space, nothing feels cramped • Excellent service – you really feel like a king • Relaxing and calming music during the session • Delicious ginger tea served after the massage – a nice finishing touch
Cons: • The price is slightly higher than in other salons, but the level of service and massage quality is clearly far superior. Definitely worth it.
I’ve been a regular visitor to this salon and would like to give special praise to Christine, the massage therapist. She has truly gentle and professional hands. Even during 90-minute sessions, she always worked with enthusiasm and great attention to detail. Her English is also very pleasant and easy to understand. After every session with her, I always left feeling completely relaxed and satisfied.
Conclusion: If you value quality, comfort, and a personal touch, this is exactly the place to go. And I especially recommend booking a massage...
Read moreWould have probably been a 2 stars if not for the body massage. The body massage was good and relaxing but the leg massage was absolutely lousy. I did a body one and the next day a leg one and there was a stark difference. The leg massage was so bad I requested to change masseuse within 5 mins. The second masseuse that came was equally bad if not even worst. Absolutely no strength and you can feel her hands shaking from trying to apply some force. The leg massage had no sequence to it and most of the time was mainly pressing the calf and not the accu pressure points...
