I had the pleasure of dining here in WEEKEND restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience. The carbonara I ordered was flavorful, creamy, and perfectly cooked. The sauce had just the right balance of richness without being overwhelming. The toasted bread on the side was crispy on the outside and soft inside, making it a perfect complement. I appreciated the generous portion size, which made the meal satisfying.
The presentation of the food was simple yet appetizing. Every bite felt fresh and carefully prepared. The drink I had was refreshing, and it paired nicely with the pasta. I loved that the food was served hot, showing attention to detail and timing. Even small touches like the garnish elevated the dining experience.
What stood out even more was the friendliness of the staff. From the moment I arrived, they greeted me with warm smiles. They were attentive without being intrusive, always checking if I needed anything. Their positive energy truly made the atmosphere more welcoming. The staff made me feel comfortable and relaxed, which added so much to the experience. Especially sir christian and the supervisor and everyone.
During the meal, they made sure everything was going smoothly. I noticed they extended the same friendliness to every guest, which shows consistency in service. They also gave helpful recommendations with genuine enthusiasm. It felt like they truly enjoyed their work and wanted guests to leave happy.
Overall, the food was excellent, and the service made it even better. I will definitely return and recommend this place to friends. Dining here over the weekend was such a treat, both for the taste buds and...
Read moreUPDATED: Too rigid and wasteful!.. We ordered Caesar salad & 2 Weekend Burgers. I asked mine without the bun and replaced it with lettuce. The waiter said they could not do it because they only serve the standard burger. I asked to speak with the manager & he said the same thing to me. So I reiterated, my request for a burger without a bun was due to dietary requirements. Even after explaining he explained it is their standard way. So I asked, are you saying you will serve me a burger with bun even though I do not eat it and it will go to waste?! Isn't that very wasteful of serving food? I added, you already have lettuce because you serve caesar salad so what is the problem? After insisting they finally gave in and served my burger without bun and gave me extra lettuce. I mean how difficult is it to ask this thing? I am also disappointed how rigid they are because it is the standard way of doing things? They follow protocol without using common sense that they are willing to serve food that may go to waste? This appalled me! The ambiance is not bad, it looks like a 2 star Michelin restaurant on the surface. However, the food is not great value for money! If you enjoy dining in rigid, mindless rules & wasteful restaurants then this place is perfect for you! We are not going back to this place again!
In addition to the response from The Weekend Owner, you can verify the video that the place is indeed your restaurant from the 88th Avenue.

We ordered three dishes: the Fat Bastard, Truffle Risotto, and Fish & Chips—and let me tell you, each dish was a standout in its own way. The Fat Bastard was the true hero of the meal—tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Every bite melted in my mouth. As someone trying risotto for the first time, I was blown away by the Truffle Risotto—its rich, earthy flavors completely overwhelmed my taste buds in the best way. The Fish & Chips were crispy and delicious, a classic dish done to perfection.
For the wine, we selected the Morning Fog Chardonnay 2021. While it was well-recommended, it didn't quite meet expectations—its taste was a little underwhelming and didn’t pair as well with the meal as anticipated. However, the ambiance more than made up for any minor hiccups with the wine. The atmosphere at The Weekend is truly a highlight—an elegant yet cozy setting that makes you feel right at home while indulging in the finest food.
