"Snow World" is part of indoor snow park inside Star City. It has separate entrance fee from the Star City's usual Ride-all-you-can ticket.
The temperature inside is -5 degree Celsius. Jacket is provided at the entrance. You mqy remove it while inside if you're body is too hot or tolerable to the freezing temperature.
Earmuffs are optional, but you will buy it with P150 inclusive of gloves even if you need only gloves.
Unfortunately, taking camera photos inside are prohibited, so I took pictures only at the entrance.
Briefing was conducted by staff on the orientation area. Any persons suffering from hypothermia, hypertension or similar ailments may back out.
Inside is the artificial cabin and some snow. Others with negative behavior says "it was a shaved ice minced into fine snow".
While the feeling inside is like a freezer simulated to freezing winter sensation, it feels good when you come from a scorching afternoon outside the Snow World.
If you wish for a little thrill, even children can enjoy much, a carved ice slide located at the 2nd storey mezzanine is available. You may glide at this Ice Slide towards the bottom, and a bed of ice snow is your safety net.
The ice slide is slippery. You can glide quickly to this slide. It is recommended that feet first in the stationary position is required to slide down to avoid accidents.
Those wearing sandals or slippers must rent a recommended footwear provided at P30 per rental.
The simulated pure white ice is 1 feet deep, even my leather shoes was covered with ice snow.
Other than that, there is a mini-museum of reindeers therein.
The entrance fee is good for one day stay inside...
Read moreI recently visited Snow World Manila with my squad and I wanted to share my experience. I only have two photos to show for it because they don't allow photography inside, which was a little disappointing, but I get why they have that rule. It would have been nice to capture more memories, but I completely understand the reasoning behind it.
The experience itself was pretty fun! The temperature inside was freezing, which was such a nice change from the heat of Manila. It really felt like you were transported to a winter wonderland. I especially enjoyed the ice slide — it was a lot of fun, and the slide was smooth, making it even more exciting. The only thing I’d mention is that the ice blocks used for the snow display are a bit on the bigger side. It didn’t really feel like "snow," but it’s still ice, so I didn’t mind too much.
Another nice surprise was the coffee shop inside. It’s a great spot to warm up if you need a break from the cold. I ended up grabbing a hot drink, which helped me relax and recharge before continuing to explore the area.
They also have photographers on-site, and you can buy photos of your visit for around 200 pesos. It’s a nice option if you want to remember the experience, especially since you can’t take your own pictures.
Overall, Snow World Manila is a fun and unique experience if you're looking for a bit of winter magic in the middle of Manila’s hot weather. While the no-photo rule is a bit of a downer, the cold, the slide, and the little coffee break made it a memorable outing. If you’re in the area and craving a bit of chill, I’d definitely recommend...
Read moreWent on a Saturday and they opened at 2pm (no issue with this).
Cameras are not allowed inside. You can get photos for 200 pesos per shot. I suggest you get photo at the snow area or in the slides, not on the entrace by the walkable LED.
Staff will hard sell a set of earmuffs and gloves. Never felt a need to have earmuffs because the down jackets have hoods, but the gloves were definitely a must. Buying from the staff is option.
There is a small drink station right at the snow area that sells coffee and hot choco for 50 pesos.
We were a bit concerned with the cleanliness of the down jackets so we brought our own. However, they have mandatory down jackets which we just wore on top of our own. I kid you not we wore these down jackets hiking in Nepal and with the mandatory ones we had two layers of jackets and it was still cold. I recommend wearing thick socks and pants if you want to stay inside longer. There's no limit on time, just your own tolerance for the cold.
The snow fall is a bit sparse. The snow area is also smaller than in videos I've seen. The snow on the ground is mixed with chunks of ice.
Keep your expectations low and come prepared. I'm pretty sure kids will have fun here and that's the most important thing at...
