We came from abroad and wanted to ski this slope, as skiing/snowboarding is possible here until 9 pm.
We paid about 30-35 euros for a day ticket.
The staff on site are anything but not friendly. No one smiles or jokes a little. However, it is absolutely incomprehensible that nobody, really NOBODY, speaks English! In today's world, especially as an employee in the middle of a ski resort - at the ticket office or at the information desk - is an absolute no-go!
The slope itself is satisfying! The descent takes a maximum of 2 minutes, if at all!
The exit is a complete disaster, no one there takes it into account. There is actually no regulation at all on how to behave there. There was smoking on the slopes, smoking on skis while riding and even smoking in the lift!
In general, the track was often traveled, especially at the end of the slope in which you brake, there was a lot of ice..
You can eat and drink on site. There are several "restaurants", even one that advertises "Grill & Bar" but where you don't get anything grilled but just noodles.
All in all, I wouldn't...
Read moreThe parking is horrible, The 80% of the track was ice. The stuff is horrible.
After barely finding a (paid) parking spot on top of the slope, we needed to go down for renting and everything, but you are not allowed to walk in the area, nor to use the lift, and they don't sell any tickets on top. So the bottom even more expensive parking is your only option to begin. (yes there is a road and you can also get on top by car as it is a small ski resort)
The Lift was broken for two whole hours, we had 2-day tickets and when we tried to refund them because it broke on the first day, they refused. Also, nobody really speaks English.
2 of the trails are really narrow and short, where they at the end merge with the green road and end in a few meters.
This was supposed to be a place for beginners but the absence of a normal snow I guess makes it harder for them as well.
Better to just go to the other Ski resort that is literally on top of this one and for some reason, it is not on the maps. (belongs to another company so no...
Read moreThe place is good for beginners and intermediate skiers. I believe that more advanced ones (Which I definitely ain't) would rather go somewhere else.
Now, what really made me angry are the guys trying to get money off you at the parking space. Their prices are just ridiculous. Btw, everywhere you go in Karpacz there is someone trying to convince you to pay an exorbitant amount of money to leave your car at some place which very often doesn't even look like a parking space at all.
Anyway, if you go just a bit further up on the same road (going from the center) you will find a public parking spot with an automatic machine to pay. There, the cost of parking is 5zl an hour. I stayed just for 3 hours so I paid 15zl, while the guy at Winterpol wanted to charge me 40zl!!!!
The machine supposedly accepts card but when I was there it worked only go with coins. If you don't have, you can change the money at the petrol station in front of Wintepol. Walking from the parking spot to the ski slope doesn't take more...
