This basilica is in the Kazimierz district of Krakow (old Jewish Quarter) and is stunning example of the mixture of Baroque and Gothic architectural styles. Dating back to the 14th century, this church is beautiful inside. We really enjoyed touring this church and examining the intricate stone carvings, stunning stained-glass windows, and ornate furnishings that adorn the interior. Another fascinating aspect of this church is the magnificent high altar, which features a beautiful depiction of the Last Supper. Also, there are several chapels within, each with its own unique character and charm. We saw from the outside the tower, but we could not find anyone inside that could tell us if it was open to the public. Whether you are there to visit, reflect, pray or to have an inspiring cultural experience, this hidden gem is sure to leave a lasting impression. The church is free to visit but it is always best to confirm the operating hours and there are no public restrooms inside the church. Finally, do not forget to take a walk outside to enjoy a beautiful, oversized garden/green area in the rear...

Review for Corpus Christi Basilica, Kraków:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nestled in the heart of the Jewish quarter in Kraków, the Corpus Christi Basilica stands as a testament to both architectural grandeur and spiritual solace. Amidst the rich tapestry of cultural narratives that Kraków holds, this Basilica offers a unique fusion of history and devotion. Within its storied walls, one is transported to a realm where profound serenity meets intricate craftsmanship, echoing tales of faith and dedication. Every nook of this revered establishment resonates with a sense of purpose and legacy. Just as this Basilica serves as a beacon of discipline and faith, in my journey as an international remote personal trainer and life coach, I emphasize the values of building a strong foundation for holistic wellness. The discipline reflected in the Basilica's walls parallels the dedication required to achieve personal goals and transformations. Be it in the spiritual corridors of Corpus Christi or in the journey of personal growth, with the right guidance and commitment, enlightening experiences...

As a Catholic traveler, I attended Sunday Mass here. This is not only an architectural marvel of Church Art, it is a local parish. From the moment you step in, you appreciate the beautiful handcrafted Polish statues, carvings and altars that are breathtaking and a testament to Polish artistry and devotion to their faith. There was a recent interior renovation. The organ is also outstanding. They open the rope to the front choir section for the parishioners. Both visitors and parishioners sit in the back pew sections. If you are visiting-- They prefer no photos, so please be discreet, quiet, and respectful if you can't help yourself. This art is meant to teach the gospels, saints and inspire faith. The Mass is, of course, in the Polish language. But no matter what country you are in, the order of the service is universal. This will be my church during our month in Poland as our apartment is in Kasimierz. Thank you to the priest and...

I visited the basilica by chance on a winter day while wandering the streets of Kraków. The Church of Corpus Christi is a true gem of Kazimierz, captivating both history enthusiasts and lovers of sacred art. The interior dazzles with Baroque splendor – gilding, intricately decorated altars, and sculptures create an extraordinary sense of harmony and calm. It’s worth seeing the main altar, the side chapels, the wall paintings, and the monastic stalls, as well as the cloisters and vaulted ceilings that give the interior its unique atmosphere. A special feature of the church is the relics of Prince Kazimierz in one of the chapels, highlighting the church’s connection to Kraków’s history and allowing visitors to pray and reflect on the prince’s legacy. The Church of Corpus Christi is an ideal place for contemplation, admiring Baroque art, and experiencing the exceptional sacred atmosphere in the heart of Kazimierz.
