Only 2 star could be given for my 4-nights stay experience Perfect location for tourists but not for business visit. Card can hardly reach the front of the hotel. Park by side and walk is big damage when rain. Check in to a twin bedded Executive room at around 1pm was a big trouble with gestures and spoken instruction. Traveling from Bangkok with pre-arrival checked in on Marriott Lifetime Platinum, I expected my arrival expectation with warm welcome not trouble and frustration of the checking staff. No recognition of Platinum guests like received by another guest nearby. Big problem! bathroom was definitely different from what shown on hotel website. This was found after luggage unpacked and being in rush for a business meeting. The bathroom features only bath tub but in pictures and text at booking time was separated bath and shower. This is misleading and normally priced directly. I needed to change the room because shower in any bath tub is risky for me due to weak legs. The other room now came with unusual long rectangular shower, shiny as well as slippery marble when wet. I request 2 rubber mats. It seemed staff could not understand the danger of this, not giving me 2 but 1 rubber mats. Room design was just to have what 5 star hotel products are required. Those products are placed just to have the location to please without consideration of convenience in using i.e bin under facial bowl (even I set up to fit my comfort, it was moved back and I gave up. ) This is so different from room was cleaned and completed without floor towel day service and evening turn down on the last night). Hairdryer is placed in a drawer of bed top furniture even some rooms have drawers in front of bathroom. This is just ease hotel operations without guests’ comfort in mind. Some corner of rooms look news (beds and marble in bathroom in my case but the rest is old. Handle of shower diverting handle had been broken before I stayed and it left that way for my whole period. Surely housekeeping staff must touch this where cleaning the room. My personal items were miss placed to different places everyday. - Surely not business hotel and not 5-star level of care. The lobby was full and trouble of only two elevators for the whole hotel for guests and for staff sharing. Breakfast and bar services as well as beverage products are excellent. Food served at bar was so so. Dinner experience was bad due to layback service and not quite impressive food taste. Check out at 5.30 am, counter was empty and lady reaching it from a room behind. She showed me the bill with tired and boring face, no interest in listening to these feedback, replying that housekeeping staff can be different persons serving the room. She said if I am not happy with the service, the service charged could be removed, and she did. That’s all. My messaged sounded boring. No thank you word not even for the feedback but the stay and payment. (Perhaps this hotel staffs are more familiar with tour groups check-in and check-out) Totally not recommended to those who know the luxury, who travel on business plans, and those who are familiar with marble.

This was my sixth week-or-more stay at the Hotel Bristol in three years. This is a Crown Jewel of the Marriott Bonvoy Luxury Collection and the hotel (mostly) more than lives up to its billing. The guest rooms, which have recently been renovated, are comfortable, with terrific beds, splendid — and functional —marble bathrooms, basic amenities like kettle, coffee maker, iron and ironing board. The Spa pool in the basement is large enough to get in some laps and a bit of a workout. The saunas — dry and wet — were spacious and not crowded during most of my visits. The most remarkable offering is the breakfast buffet, though it has been scaled back a bit since the Marriott Bonvoy acquisition: Hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, potatoes, but never, on this two week stay, bacon. Lots of yoghurts, cereals, Müsli, cheeses, fresh fruit. Included is a to-order menu, but the Eggs Benedict I tried one day was poor — clearly made in advance and the brioche bread on which it was set was dried out. Some of the evening meals in the restaurant have been delights, though Marriott Bonvoy has done away with the 20% awards membership discount there. It is the attentive, kind, and helpful staff that truly make this property a great luxury. The warm reception begins with the doormen, who know how to keep things moving on a crowded forecourt. Front desk staff are crisp, efficient. The cleaning staff never miss a detail, including noting and replacing the tea you chose that morning, so you never lack for selection. And the concierges are real pros, able to get concert tickets or give instruction on how to get a bus ticket. (Not that many clientele would use it, but the number 175 bus to the airport conveniently stops right outside the hotel. From the airport, the stop is just up the street.) Internet speeds are fast — I was able to watch some of the World Series from the US without issue— though I had trouble connecting my Kindle. And not all the power outlets in my room worked. (A major water line break led to a 4:40am hotel evacuation during this visit and a cold-only shower that morning, but by the following afternoon operations were mostly back to normal. The incident underscores the importance of preventative maintenance in this historic building.) Views from the rooms are, given the location, brilliant. To the north, the view is of the Presidential Palace and its courtyard (avoid because of noise when there are demonstrations.) The view south is of a park, churches and the university. You will pay for all of the Bristol’s attention and comfort, though. It is a five star hotel and the rates fully reflect that, but it is a marvelous place to spend time in Warsaw.

This is a beautiful addition to the Luxury Collection. It is perfectly located about 1/2 way between the old city and Foksal street (where you can sit out outdoor cafes and meet locals).

As a Platinum customer, I received an upgrade to a Junior Suite.

ROOM DETAILS: It had a courtyard view and blackout curtains, which made it very nice and quiet. The bed was comfy and the pillows were excellent (nice and soft). They had separate A/C controls for the bedroom and sitting room. The room also had a Bose iPod dock and a safe and iron/board. The suite was a nice size and the small room provided enough seating for guests. The Internet access (free for Platinums) is super fast and they have a printer near the front desk if you need it. I was very happy with the room.

BATHROOM DETAILS: The bathroom is spacious and has a separate shower and tub, with toilet and bidet. While large, the bathroom has flaws. The lighting is much too dim to see properly while shaving, etc. The shower head allows only one setting of 'massage' and does not allow for a wide spray setting. They had a scale in my bathroom which I think is a nice touch.

HOUSEKEEPING: I found this to be the worst part of my stay here. The cleaning lady barely cleaned anything (desk surfaces were not cleaned, you could see stains of where the glasses were) and she even left her cleaning supplies in the room after she left. Also, the scale in the bathroom had a dead battery upon arrival. Does she ever check to make sure it works?

Further, I was offered free water as a Platinum member, but specifically requested still water with the front desk (sparkling was left). At no time during my stay did this water make it to my room - and I was charged egregious prices for the still water from the mini bar (what else should I drink since they did not provide still water?!). With this sort of housekeeping service, I'd prefer to participate in Green Choice at this property, but unfortunately they do not participate in the program.

PLATINUM RECOGNITION: While the upgraded room was wonderful, the remainder of Platinum recognition here is basically non-existent. There is no lounge and although they have a bar no drinks are offered at it. They did however provide me with a welcome gift upon arrival of some appetizers and two small bottles of polish vodka and apple juice. It was a nice touch and appreciated. Another disappointment is that Platinum guests are not offered full breakfast but rather continental breakfast. And you must waive your 500 point Platinum amenity to get it. This is a shame, because they have a nice looking breakfast buffet and the other 2 SPG properties in Warsaw both offer full breakfast and points. However, as far as continental breakfasts go, this is a nice one - with delicious fresh cut fruits on offer. Further, the restaurant is beautiful and you can eat outside in a cute little courtyard.

In all, I think the property is absolutely beautiful and the rooms are wonderful. The staff provided excellent friendly service, indicative of a 5 star property (except housekeeping). I would definitely stay here again on my next...
