University of Warsaw — Attraction in Warsaw

Excellent University, one of the best in Europe. I'm 1971 graduate and due to excellent education I received in Poland, I was able to get top level technical positions managing information technology and multimillion dollar aircraft programs in companies such as Apple, Boeing, RCA etc. United States benefitted from the education I've received in Polish educational system (Lyceum Number 48 in Warsaw followed by 5 year Master Degree program at the University of Warsaw).

This is update: I noticed that University is ranked number 301 on the list of the world's best universities. That rank is seriously underrating the quality of the university (and also all other Polish institutions of higher education - for example Jagiellonian University is rated no 326 and Warsaw Polytechnic is not even listed!). While in the US I graduated from UCLA (rated no 20) and USC (rated no 24) and I can firmly state that University of Warsaw, in terms of the education I got there is as good as UCLA (Anderson School of Business) and better than USC (Viterbi School of Engineering). Polish students are getting excellent education at Polish Universities and Polytechnics and unfortunately the quality of that education is not properly reflected in the published by US organizations Universities...

It just has a reputation because it’s an old institution but when it comes to quality of education… Studying here should have been my last option, not my first. It felt kind of like a scam. I paid all that money for what, just to receive a pass grade which is not enough to go out there in the world upon graduation. Especially those programmes in social sciences. Staff was unhelpful, nobody really cares. Regulations might change out of nowhere, one year you pay something and next year they will ask for twice the amount for a class that you are repeating. International Office don’t pay attention and they cause a lot of confusion and stress, but they are good when it comes to asking for money. It’s not worth it - this opiniom is not applicaple for those...

That’s super bomba University. I was here not once (1x) at glance. I was even admitted here , I was here for a party , I was here for conferences, I am here now.

I am very familiar with this place , I am around. I see You every day . ,,Krakowskie Przedmiescie ‘’ , New World. That’s really old world. But I do not care , I will be back.

Stronger , quicker , faster , further […] in the future , near by future.
