100 Montaditos Aveiro — Restaurant in Aveiro

I recently visited 100 Montaditos in Aveiro and, unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite meet my expectations. The concept of the place is interesting, and I was curious to try the variety of small sandwiches, but overall, I left feeling a bit disappointed.

To start with, the batatas bravas were quite underwhelming — they lacked flavor and didn’t have the texture or spice I was hoping for. They also seemed overpriced for such a simple dish. As for the mini burgers, while it's nice that they’re only 2€, they were very small — more like a snack than anything close to a satisfying bite. I understand the idea of tapas-sized portions, but even with that in mind, the value just didn’t feel right.

I was also a bit surprised by how quickly the bill added up, especially considering the portions. It felt like the prices didn’t quite match the quality or quantity of the food. The atmosphere was okay, and the service was decent, but sadly that wasn’t enough to balance out the overall impression.

It might be a fun spot for a quick bite or a drink with friends if you know what to expect, but for me, it just didn’t deliver in terms of...

Very bad experience. I didn’t know the restaurant so I sat on the terrace for a quick meal. I waited for 20 minutes and no one came to serve or ask what I wanted. So I grabbed all my stuff and went inside and the process of ordering and paying is exhaustive. Besides, the employees didn’t know what a burguês without any bread or sauces is. You can see by the picture attached the size of my meal. So, what people are eating is that 2 centimeters kind of meat… and the rest is unhealthy stuff. Like bread and tuns of sauces. Besides that that have empty food like lots of French fries, god knows for how long they keep that out where they fried them burning!!!! I hated it! They are fooling the kids and the students who they saw as an opportunity as this “restaurant” is we can even call it that is in AVEIRO. A nice Portuguese university city. Please don’t go there! It’s terribly unhealthy and they are selling...

Employee rolled his eyes when i ordered beer 1h before closing :) And lied saying that beer cannot be served inside without ordering food. Though this was true in the past, it was NOT in place at the time, as no restrictions existed to serving alcohol inside during open hours (also, i had ordered food, which just proves the employee was looking for an excuse to not serve and close earlier) If you dont wanna serve after 21:30 then close earlier or dont work in customer service. All i ordered was what was on menu. Made no special request. And was polite. There was no need for rude service. Being unapologetic just proves the lack of professionalism you will encounter at this...
