This was a very clean, modern terminal. If you want to visit the historical city of Porto, you will need to take a cab or shuttle bus unless you are an extremely hardcore runner and want to run 😂. The city center is a long distance from the terminal and to make the most of your time, you will need transportation.
Most people may rank it negatively that you can't walk off the cruise ship directly into Porto but we absolutely rank it as a tremendous positive because it doesn't visually litter the landscape with massive ships directly in view of the beautifully...
Read moreInteresting architecture for a cruise terminal. Unfortunately we were told you can't visit it as an attraction in its own right when we came to the entrance to the port. You can go up to the crane and that's it. It must be nice to experience sunset from the terrace and viewing platform.
Apparently there's a research centre inside. The tiles laid out like fish scales from others' pictures look outstanding.
It's near the beach, which is just the other side.

There are extensive oceanography labs on the second floor. On the third floor is a large area used for corporate events. So it is more than a cruise terminal.
