This restaurant was recommended to us by our airbnb host. All I wanted was some sea bass and I got exactly what I wanted and then some. We came as soon as they opened for dinner and was seated immediately. This place is small in space so it's not good for large groups. Our orders were taken quickly and they brought out the most amazing chorizo bread. 😋 And then came the main dish. The sea bass and potatoes. My friend was dying to try the sardines. We were advised to eat them last because of the strong taste. That advice proved to be good. Ohhh and yes, these were the best potatoes that I've had in Portugal. From what I've read about this restaurant, it's owned and operated by a family. I got that family feel and I just know my food was cooked with love. Both my friends said they weren't really hungry and both cleaned their plates. You won't go broke eating here, either. I most definitely recommend this restaurant and I hope to some day...

Salta o Muro, is not probably but surely the best restaurant to have some real food in Porto. I'm Portuguese but I'm writing so that y'all foreigners start giving decent and honest restaurants your money instead of pretentious crap you can find in your own countries.

True Portuguese restaurant from aesthetic to food. And the food. Just, go inside and ask for Rodovalho, the potatoes with the green sauce and the legumes... They'll get your mouth drooling for more. And above it all the nice lady that cooks it all. As any Portuguese place, there's a woman performing magic in the background, she is the queen of the place, and all you eat is thanks to her.
