Do yourself a favour, avoid this place like the plague! Forgetting about the sullen staff that seem as if they dared to smile that their faces would actually crack and fall off, but the food was really beyond disgraceful. €75 per kg for prawns that had the consistency of wood, (and that would be being very unkind to wood,) roasted peppers that were cold enough to suggest they'd recently been removed from a refrigerator, and cod, apparently the specialty of Portugal, that that was so tough that by comparison boot leather would have seemed tender. Whomever rates this place above half a green dot must surely be suffering from long COVID and have no sense of taste at all, and apparently would enjoy the company of Hannibal Lecter at dinner as the the attitude and approach of the staff is amongst the worst I have ever come across, having dined in many places all around the world, and I have never come across such sullen and morose staff that couldn't even bother to apologise for the rotten state of the food after we sent back the main meal having had just a single bite because it was so bad. Heaven forbid they make an offer of a replacement meal, or anything else to offset the terrible state of the meal, yet we were still charged full price for the "food," that we sent back virtually intact, which was quite inedible. I have had a few meals in other restaurants that weren't really up to scratch but I have never been moved to write a review about it, however this place and its food were so bad that I feel others should be forewarned about it. Three day old, cold McDonalds fries in a squatter camp would have been more appetising. Bad food, bad service, bad everything, how this place is still in business I don't know. Don't waste your money or your life eating at this "restaurant," anywhere else has got to be a btter option, no matter how bad a...

I was so excited to experience this restaurant bc of a recommendation and the reviews I read. I went into the restaurant to get a table was put in the corner. I understand-I’m a solo traveler. It took quite a long time for waitstaff to bring me a menu or even acknowledge was there. I was about to walk out when the host finally brought me a menu.

I waited for a very long time before a waiter came to take my order. I wanted the sea bass but he told me it was too large of a portion for one person and recommended the swordfish. I’ve never had swordfish but on his recommendation, I ordered it. Food came promptly: olives, bread, wine and sardines (the sardines were excellent). The swordfish came and the first bite was not good. It was mildly flavorful, but quite dry. I ate a few more bites, hoping it would be better, but it was still very, very dry.

I called the waiter over and told him. He was surprised but took my plate away and then never returned to my table. Another waitress came to ask if I wanted another kind of fish and made several suggestions. I decided to order a dessert and call it a night.

She brought the dessert (crème brûlée), which was very good and very rich.

When I was ready for the check, I tried for 15 minutes to get someone’s attention. No waitstaff ever came back to check on me. I raised my hand several times and tried to get their attention to no avail.

I left some euros in the table and left.

By morning, I was sick with food poisoning. I was extremely disappointed all...

I had a wonderful time at this restaurant. As I’m currently living in Prague which doesn’t not have access to fresh sea food that often I was really in need of dose of fresh sea food(I’m originally from a small island with plenty sea food) and Tito delivered!!

Service - excellent service , the waiter was really nice and explained the dishes well. I almost ended up ordering unnecessary amount food but the waiter actively informed about the portion sizes.

Atmosphere - it has a very local unpretentious atmosphere with a lot of locals

Food They are rustic in appearance but heavenly in taste. Each dish we had was very satisfying. Price was very reasonable for the quality and the taste.

Tiger prawn - 5/5 the butter sauce it came with was so delicious I wish I could take a bottle of it back :D

Sardines- Very Fresh and very tasty (Sardines are one of family favorites and I was really craving it. Was not disappointed)

Octopus rice - very unique dish compared to what I had before. It was yummy and came with a lot of octopus (we ordered a portion for 1, but to be honest, it’s more than enough for two people if you order some side dishes

Don’t forget to try the orange juice. It was fresh and delicious.

My wife had a desert and she was very happy with it.

If you visit Porto, I can highly recommend making a small trip to Matosinhos (has easy access via Metro from Porto) and visit Tito for fresh, tasty and...

“Tito II” in Matosinhos Nestled in the heart of Matosinhos, “Tito II” offers a seafood dining experience that's hard to beat. From the moment you walk through the door, the warmth of the staff immediately stands out. Their attentive and friendly service sets the tone for a memorable meal, making you feel right at home. The wine list is thoughtfully curated, featuring a variety of excellent selections that perfectly complement the seafood-centric menu. We tried “Vallado Reserve” which was really good! Whether you're a wine connoisseur or just enjoy a good glass with your meal, “Tito II” won't disappoint. The menu is a celebration of fresh, high-quality seafood, with each dish prepared to highlight the natural flavors of the ocean. For starters, we chose the octopus salad, which was nothing short of spectacular. The octopus was tender, with a delightful balance of seasoning that enhanced its natural taste without overpowering it. The highlight of our meal was the Grilled Golden Bream, cooked to perfection with a crispy skin and moist, flaky flesh. It was simply seasoned, allowing the freshness of the fish to shine through. Each bite was a testament to the kitchen’s skill in preparing seafood. “Tito II” is a must-visit for seafood lovers in Matosinhos. With a fantastic menu, excellent wine, and exceptional staff, it offers an experience that’s both authentic and satisfying. Highly recommended!
