Actually, I had great time with my friends today at Thamel Matosinho. We enjoyed food and atmosphere very much . We had MOMO ( dumpling from NEPAL 🇳🇵 ), Spicy chicken wings, Balls of Fish & Shrimp as starter. it was delicious and perfect in amount . I Had cocktail 🍸 called Thamel with-an-attitude . it's great in taste as it has Yuzu ( fruit from Japan) and Timur ( fruit from Nepal) these fruits make this drink the best Cocktail in the house According to server . My friends have cocktail Karma which contain flavors of passion fruit and Greenall's Gin and Memphis Vibe ( Mocktail made with red fruits , kiwi 🥝 and lots more ) . at last but not least , we had Thamel Thali ( Authentic food from Nepal 🇳🇵 which contain Rice, Chicken Curry, Mango pickles, Daal / Lentils, Spinach, Vegetable, Ghee , soybean curry ) ..... Creamy Curry with Pinapal and shrimp from southern India 🇮🇳 , Pad-Thai from Thailand 🇹🇭, Corn-Dog inspired from S. Korean 🇰🇷 Street . We loved the food and atmosphere. we have attended by Himal ,Elisa , Anisha and Catia ( the manager) . Everyone was helpful and attentive. Special thanks to Himal and Elisa . Go and Have bite at Thamel restaurant, they have great variety of food and Great place to be familiar with Nepalese and Thai food 🙏

Honestly don't understand all the glowing reviews. The service was awkward from the second I stepped onto the property and they acted like I was the first person to ever dine solo or arrive with a small suitcase in tow,followed by sass because I didn't want to sit at a table in direct sunlight. The pad thai was bland and definitely not the "thai spicy" I requested. The chicken momo was ok, but they battered the crispy ones with panko instead of just pan-frying them like normal? The filling was good but not layered and complex flavors like you'd find at a better nepali restaurant. I suspect everyone raving about their food hasn't yet tried *good* thai or nepali food, which seems more and more like it might be impossible to find in Portugal outside of Praça Martím Moniz in Lisbon.

I had a pretty low expectations because I usually got disappointed from ordering their food via delivery (pad Thai, chow mein, fried rice - they were all underseasoned and bland tasting). We decided to stop by the Matosinhos location, previously known as Ondas do Mar. We ordered cauliflower pakora and tosta tofu/mushrooms. They are surprisingly pleasant. Beautiful presentation and have good flavors. The place is by the beach with laid back atmosphere. The bathroom can use some more updating and cleaning. It’s borderline filthy. Dining in is definitely much better than their take-out or delivery.

Our recent visit to the Thamel Restaurant was nothing short of delightful. As a family of five celebrating our son's 10th birthday, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, particularly Manita, who made our experience truly memorable.

From the moment we entered, the ambiance was inviting, with tasteful decor that reflected both Nepalese and Indian influences. The server was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also assisted us in choosing dishes that perfectly suited our preferences. Their jovial demeanor added a wonderful touch to the evening, making us feel like valued guests throughout our visit.

Now, onto the highlight: the food. We order their vegan thali, thupka noodle soup, dim sums and a fried rice dish. Each dish we ordered was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to authentic flavors. The Nepalese and Indian dishes were prepared with finesse, showcasing a blend of spices that tantalized our taste buds.

Special mention must go to Manita, whose attentive service and warm personality truly enhanced our dining experience. Her recommendations were spot-on, and her (and manager Kathy’s) genuine care for ensuring our son's birthday celebration was special did not go unnoticed (they arranged a surprise dessert +...

Vale mais ter metade dos funcionários, pagando-lhes o dobro, desde que tenham formação e garantam um serviço de excelência. Ganharão os donos, ganharão os clientes e ganhará o turismo português;
