Hotel Estrela de Fatima — Hotel in Ourém

This is our second visit to Hotel Estrela as we so thoroughly enjoyed our every moment on our first visit. On our first visit, we came to Fatima with a touring agency. We so much enjoyed our short visit that we immediately planned a second trip back to Fatima. This time on our first day at Hotel Estrela; it was filled nostalgia as we enjoyed wines from the Douro River in the hotel lounge while planning our time in Fatima. The hotel valet parked our car at their private garage while we completed our check-in. Afterward, we decided to drive to the home of Jacinta and Francisco . Then, to the Fatima Parish where they were baptized. Later that evening , we were exhausted from the trip, but wanted to participate in the procession.So we opened our windows and looked onto the Sanctuary. What an amazing view!!!|It was 9:00 pm and the sun was setting. What magnificent colors in the sky and to be able to enjoy these views of the Sanctuary from your room. We left the window open to feel the cool evening breeze while listening to the Cathedral bells and songs of the procession . Most beautiful moment and can only be experienced at Hotel Estrela! All the rooms are beautiful and tastefully designed for your comfort. The staff always available to help you with any requests. One additional service we used was the laundry service. We used this service and our clothes delivered pressed in 8 hours. Each morning we enjoyed breakfast at the hotel restaurant. A complete menu offering fresh fruits, yogurts, breads, eggs, ham, bacon, prosciutto, pancakes, waffles, cereal, fresh juices, coffee and |much more. After breakfast, we walked across to the Fatima Sanctuary to attend morning Mass at the Cathedral at 7:30 am. Then visited the Chapel where the Jacinta, Francisco and Lucia witnessed their first vision on May13th and visited the Rosary Museum afterward. We returned to Hotel Estrela where they have a beautiful gift store in front of the hotel too!||We will be returning to Fatima and looking forward to our stay with...

This hotel is worthy of 5-stars. The decor is modern and chic with attention to elegant details and beautiful lighting. I was traveling with my husband and toddler and we had a spacious and comfortable bed with wonderful linens and plush pillows plus the hotel set up a single bed for our son and the room still had lots of room for European size. The cleanliness was superb! The bathroom and floors were impeccable and daily maid services provided a refresh. I would highly suggest eating at the restaurant on premise. The breakfast buffet had hot and cold items with lots of healthy choices (and of course if you wanted to splurge the fresh butter croissants and pastries were a great touch). I ate fresh kiwi and pineapple and watermelon daily! The staff was accommodating and were able to speak multi languages and even arranged tours and excursions for us. They even provide a little toy for your child during check-in. I can’t wait to come back. Oh yes and the Fatima sanctuary is steps away so get your candle in the gift shop and experience the nightly mass....
