It is a bonus to stay close to the Kievsky Railway Station, because you can take a pleasant scroll on the Bogdan Khmelnitsky Bridge that spans 135 metres across the Moscow River.

The bridge was originally a steel railway bridge of through arch bridge design. It was known as Kievsky, that is, Kiev Bridge, but renamed officially in honour of Kievsof Bohdan Khmelnytsky, a Ukrainian national hero.

The main pedestrian walkway and stairs are completely enclosed in a glass canopy; there are two open-air side walkways, which are usually closed to the public. However, there are viewing platforms on both sides for visitors to enjoy the magnificent views of the surround day and night.

Some people set up tables, and kiosks to sell souvenirs and even clothing.

Interesting functional landmark, this bridge is only for pedestrian use and offers protection against wind and rain and also a nice view over surrounding areas and Moscow River (if one chooses to walk on the exterior ramps). Пешеходный мост через Москву-реку, который соединяет Бережковскую и Ростовскую набережные вблизи Киевского вокзала. Мост был сооружен на основе Краснолужского моста, который соединял Бережковскую и Лужнецкую набережные с 1907 года. Старый мост был построен по проекту архитектора Александра Померанцева, конструктора Лавра Проскурякова и инженера П. Я. Каменцева. 31 августа 2000 года пролёты нового моста (протяженностью 135 м и весом 1400 т) были транспортированы приблизительно на 2,5 км выше по течению Москвы-реки, где его водрузили на новые опоры.
