This hotel has 20 floors with beautiful views. They have free WiFi and breakfast is a buffet that includes cereals, toasts, coffee, salmon, eggs, bacon, etc. It has two restaurants on the ground floor that you can enter directly from the hotel or from the street. There is a metro station 5 minutes away from the hotel that can connect you with the city, however, the place is well centered, very close to Arbat street. One disadvantage might be that at least in this time of the year, breakfast might be overcrowded due to the huge tourist groups that are there. Side note: The photo is from the sunrise at 4 AM.

My favorite hotel in Moscow. Smart room -not fashionable, but honest scandy design. Amazing view. Great lounge with food (5-7pm) and coffee/tea all day long. Do not miss the oppty to have the room on the executive floor (18th-19th floors) with access to lounge. Mention on the reception that u want to have the view on Moscow city-it's the best side of the building. The price difference between a standard room and a standard room on the executive floor with food included in lounge is not really matter. However its worth every penny.

A great value choice! The hotel’s location and surrounding environment are very convenient. Although the room is small, the window offers a fantastic view of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building-one of the iconic Stalinist “Seven Sisters” skyscrapers. It’s close to Arbat Street and the Moscow River, making transportation easy. The front desk lady speak English and provide attentive service. Note: the hotel reception is on the second floor; after entering through the revolving door, take the elevator upstairs to find it.

Choosing the Azimut Hotel Smolenskaya was the biggest mistake, disappointment and the worst experience I've ever had with any hotel in my life. Especially after reading so many good reviews, I made my choice, and I was really looking forward to stay in this hotel. Unfortunately, I don't think it will ever happen. For those who do not speak Russian, please be very careful! And double and triple check everything before making a reservation. I speak both Russian and English, but it didn't help in my case.

The management of the hotel and the reservation department were not helpful. Nobody ever responded to any of my emails, nobody contacted me after four days(even after they promised to respond). The managers on a phone were extremely rude. They never wanted to introduce themselves, neither try to resolve the issue. One manager hung up on me, another one, after I asked him to introduce himself, told me "I am a manager". And all they were doing, just transferred me from one person to another, and showed very low level of professionalism and competency.

Due to poorly done website, the reservation was made for the wrong dates, and unfortunately I paid for it. I immediately called them, explained the issue and asked nicely to change the date of my reservation. I did this reservation directly through the hotel's website, not through the third parties. However, nobody was able to help me, and as I said before they just transferred me from one person to another. I sent a few emails to the reservation department, and I've got no response. Of course, they charged me for "not showing up", although initially the reservation was planned to be in December.

I believe that the issue was not huge, and any receptionist or admin would be able to help with it. I don't understand how people who works in hotels can be so rude with potential customers.

I already made a reservation in another hotel without any issue, received all the emails and confirmations. Why all this could not be done with Azimut Hotel Smolenskaya, is still a big...

I felt totally fine staying at the AZIMUT hotel. In general, the hotel is in good condition and remodeled, but at the same time its design is very basic. The hotel’s location is very good. It is super close to the famous Old Arbat and the distance to the Red Square is walkable. There are a lot of shops and restaurants around the hotel, also there are 2 really nice restaurants with traditional Russian cuisine in the hotel’s building, I highly recommend checking them out. Also AZIMUT hotel has its own restaurant/bar on the 4th floor next to the front desk which serves pretty tasty food 24 h. All hotel staff was nice and friendly. I did not have room service during my 5 night stay, but every single time I called to the front desk and asked to bring anything to my room, I got it right away. Now about my room (which was a SMART Superior Double Room). Like I already said it was designed very basic but it was all in good condition, another negative thing about it was its small size. In total, I paid $426 for 5 nights for this room, and I find this deal super overpriced for the quality I got. As I requested they put me on a high floor, so the view from my room was awesome, and I believe this is the only thing I really liked. The Queen bed was not really a Queen bed, it was 2 Twin Beds that were connected together. So there was a gap in the middle of the bed, where I fell into every single night, it was very uncomfortable and my body hurt after that. Also the mattress and the pillows obviously were very cheap and uncomfortable. There was no real closet in the room to put and hang my clothes. The bathroom was tiny, the shower stall was super small. The bathroom amenities were of a cheap quality and smelled awful. The hair dryer did not work strong enough. Wi-Fi was working good. I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Moscow, but only if you do not really care about comfort in your room. Just for sleeping over and a quick shower this hotel is fine, but...

We stayed in this hotel for 5nights; The hotel is good located and easy access to Arbat St and 5min to Metro station. Our room was smart superior double king with an awesome view to Foreign affair,Arbat st and city center on 13th floor. I really enjoyed the scenery and wanted to sit at the window and staring out all days long. The staff are really friendly and kind specially in Avenue restaurant during breakfast serving. I loved the breakfast it’s really perfect; Order a Omelet and you will find a special secret taste you’ve never experienced!!

First day we found our room not clean, when i informed the reception they sent the housekeeper very soon and surprised us with a fabulous champagne after on evening!!! We really enjoyed our stay and highly suggest this hotel to everyone who wants to travel to Moscow. Everything is ready for you to have fun and rest in a cozy modern place . Thanks all the staff and managers of Azimut hotel, i will going to miss my room 1313; Hope to come and share my good...
