We arrived in Helsinki on our cruise and took a quick 10 minute taxi ride to the open air market. We saw the skywheel which was just a 5 minute walk. Designed in blue and white to match the Finnish flag it is a magnificent piece of engineering which apparently only took 2 weeks to assemble. The people are very friendly and they have a VIP option which includes a bottle of champagne. Visited in May 2017. Tried this attraction after incidentally came across. Each person is charged €12 and for that fee one gets five spins. The wheel has 30 rooms, with room no. 15 and no. 30 are special sauna rooms with special fee as well. Each room has blue glass layering upon the whole window, therefore any photographs you make inside of the room should be bluish as well. Sometimes the spin was too fast, sometimes was too slow.
