Had a fantastic booking experience with the hotel with Iina from the onset. Response was always quick and prompt with my questions answered. Arrived late into Helsinki whereby i took the ‘other’ taxi queue from Helsinki airport as my daughter was really cold in the sub 0 temperature. (Big mistake as a 50 euro ride turned into 100 euro ride) Was really upset as what was shown at the airport was not what was on the meter. But Lucas at reception was very warm and understanding and checked us in quickly also offering us a shot of finnish whisky to defray the nerves. So a bad starting experience in Finland for the first time was mitigated by such a warm and outstanding hotel staff. The rooms were spacious and designed well. Location was fantastic as well as we were about 10 mins walk from the malls as well as to the nearby attractions which included the ferry to Suomenlinna, Kauppatori, Xmas market etc etc. Tram lines and restaurants were nearby as well Soundproofing was great and i did hear much noise from neighbours or the road. Breakfast was a good quality spread. Probably my favorite hotel stay in my 2 and a half week trip to Frankfurt, Helsinki and Copenhagen and its mainly due to the room and the staff that were outstanding. You will not regret staying here

Hotel F6 is a lovely base for exploring Helsinki. It’s tucked away in a quiet side street but just a 5-minute walk from the harbour, where ferries leave for the archipelago and various boat tours depart. The central station is about 15 minutes away on foot, and tram and bus stops are just a short stroll. Most major sights in Helsinki’s city centre are within easy walking distance, making it simple to explore the city on foot. And if needed, tram lines 2 and 3 offer convenient access to many destinations. The hotel itself is set in a building that has been beautifully renovated with a modern, stylish touch. My room on the fourth floor was spacious and cozy, with a large, comfortable bed and a generous walk-in shower. A bathrobe and refillable Rituals toiletries added a nice touch of comfort. If I could wish for one small improvement, it would be a coffee machine in the room. There was a kettle, which is helpful, but a machine would have been a bit more convenient. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was excellent – fresh, varied, and clearly made with care. There’s also a bar integrated into the hotel (though independently run), serving great cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere. Again, friendly service all around.

Mirja was an absolute pleasure at the front desk. She even changed our room because I wanted to see the Christmas tree, (what a pain I am) even though our first room looked over the court yard and was absolutely lovely. Rooms are extremely comfortable and quite spacious. They have a kettle and a beverage stocked refrigerator, both kinds of showers with plenty of hot water, a FABULOUS breakfast with everything you could dream of. Katie at breakfast was super friendly and gave us great advice about local food. As everyone else mentioned in their reviews the location is perfect - almost all sites within walking distance. Also you can jump on a fun tram which is really fun. The Christmas market was one of the best we’ve seen. The staff (also mentioned in the reviews ) is indeed more friendly than everyone in the whole city combined. We both enjoyed the workout room. Definitely don’t stay anywhere else. Highly recommend.

It was a pleasure once again to return to the Hotel F6. As a visitor with many prior stays, it is a great feeling to walk in and see staff members who have now become friends. But the welcome was just as warm from all members of the staff. My colleague, who was a first time visitor, had the same experience. Throughout our stay, the service and attention were excellent - attentive, warm and friendly, but also professional. Everyone was quick to do whatever they could to be helpful and make the visit even better - making a dinner reservation, taking care of a room-related request, advice about things to do, checking upcoming weather, etc. ||The rooms are comfortable, quiet and a great place to unwind, get some work done, or relax. The larger rooms are particularly well suited to a business visit - if you need some space to set up and do some work, one of these rooms would be a suitable choice. I particularly like the rooms with their own ground floor entry, but others might prefer a higher floor or internal entry. The hotel's location is extremely convenient, just off of the Esplanade, and with easy access to restaurants, attractions and shopping. The breakfast is fresh, varied and very good. If you feel like a drink, the bar is a good choice, with interesting offerings and a comfortable feel. It also doubles as a breakfast room. My favorite way to start the day is sitting at a table close to the windows that face the street, and watching the day unfold. ||Helsinki has a large selection of hotels. You can find a wide variety of atmospheres, levels of quality, decor and other features. I have been visiting the city for many years, and I have tried a number of them - including hotels that some reviewers mention in their reviews of the F6, and say they prefer. It is a big world, and there are choices for everyone. However, there is a reason that I keep returning to the F6. There is also a reason why it is common to see many visitors from different places, with different tastes, different reasons for coming to Helsinki, and other varying characteristics, staying at this hotel, and visibly enjoying it. The F6 consistently delivers at a high level, with a genuine desire to make your stay great. It does so with warmth and charm, and without pretense. If you like feeling well cared for and appreciated, this...

There are vacations you take, hotels you stay in and people you meet who enhance the overall experience exponentially. This was all true of our exceptional time in Helsinki and a large part of this experience was owed to our wonderful 3-day stay at Hotel F6. A large amount of this is owed to the sterling staff -- among the elites in all our travels.

Our story started a day before our actual stay, when we requested to store extra luggage before our overnight trip to Tallinn, Estonia. Without hesitation, the staff agreed to watch over our large luggage for free before our actual check-in the next day. This kind act greatly helped us during our mini cruise to Estonia.

The following day, during our check-in, we met Ida, who became not only our Helsinki dining expert, but also a great person to get to know all around. Ida helped secure every reservation for our culinary journey from the first night. She is an exceptional employee and a great asset to an already amazing staff. We thank her for making our stay at F6 so comfortable and fun. Eimer was also friendly and full of help for restaurant ideas. We appreciate his fun demeanor and fun conversation.

Our room was very conveniently located on the first level -- very spacious, clean and so easy to come and go. The hotel layout, especially the lobby and dining/lounge area were easy to access. The complimentary breakfast was fresh, well presented and very flavorful. Perhaps the best breakfast in town.

Is this the best hotel in Helsinki? Let's just say the competition...

I am so glad I stayed at this hotel while I was in Helsinki, earlier this month. From the moment I walked in, I knew this place was going to be lovely. The front desk staff are super friendly and helpful, providing maps and suggestions of places to visit and restaurants to grab dinner at. It was like meeting up with old friends, talking to them. My room was beautiful, had plenty of space, and was flawless and clean. Everything about the room was perfection. I utilized the hotel's laundry service and give that an A+ as well. My items were all returned, well cared for, and smelled very nice. This hotel is located within walking distance of just about everything you'd want to see in Helsinki. I enjoy turning my trips into endurance adventures, and walked from my hotel to the Port of Helsinki to catch a ferry to Tallinn, Estonia, and then, walked back from the Port to my hotel. I enjoyed this walk very much and I'm glad I got to see more of Helsinki on foot. |In short, the hotel is strikingly clean and tidy. All staff I ran across were friendly and attentive. My room was fantastic, spacious, and so welcoming after long days of walking in the cold. The bed was super comfy and the blankets were soooo warm. :) |I am returning to Finland later this year and will be staying at this hotel again because of my incredible experience and...
