If you're looking for a fun, affordable outing for friends or family in Sea Point, Cape Town, look no further than this putt-putt course.
One of the standout features of this putt-putt course, aside from being right next to the sea, is its accommodating hours. Staying open until 9 pm is great for those of us with busy schedules. Recently, my partner and I decided to make it a date night and swung by around 8 pm. Despite the late hour, we were greeted warmly by the friendly staff member on duty.
Convenience is key, and we were pleased to find that they accept card payments. The choice between an easier or more challenging course added an extra layer of fun for all ages.
Despite the evening hour, the course was well-lit. Admittedly, the course could use a bit of TLC, but it didn't detract from the overall enjoyment. It's clear that with a little upkeep, this place could truly shine. And let's not forget the refreshments! The selection is modest, but it’s perfect for a quick snack or water break. There are a few benches to sit at.
Whether you're a seasoned putt-putt pro or just looking for some lighthearted fun, you'll find plenty...
Read moreOverall a good experience. Fun activity for family and friends. Wide age group. Value for money - lots of fun for little expense. It's mini golf and there are 2 courses of 18 holes each. One is rated easy for beginners. The other more challenging. Balls and golf clubs plus score cards and pencils are provided. Friendly, helpful staff. Area was clean and maintained. It is directly affected by weather so do wear a hat/cap and or sunglasses because it gets very hot with sun glare. Wind straight off the sea cools the area down quickly so it can become cold with strong winds despite the windbreaks. You could stand around a bit as you wait your turn to play. You wait for the couples/groups ahead of you to finish on the hole they are playing before moving on to the next hole. So the course is full. Narrow wooden benches provide seating but are not available everywhere on the course. Street parking and parking lots are available But you might need to walk a short distance. A fun time. I...
Read moreI had a rather unfortunate experience at the putt putt in Sea Point on Sunday. An elderly lady at the counter refused to let me pay with my small change. It were mostly 50c and R2, but the way she told me in front of all other guests standing by the counter that she doesn't "see why I should accept your money" just screamed arrogance. She then told me to stand by the side and let all the other customers in the line behind me pay. In the end I had to ask my friends to pay for me (with notes). I think the putt putt management should consider hiring more...
