University of Pretoria Museums — Attraction in Tshwane Ward 56

The University of Pretoria (UP) Museum celebrated International Museum Day (IMD) with a week-long event from May 12 to May 16, 2025. IMD, observed annually on May 18, emphasizes the vital roles museums play in communities, with this year's theme being “The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities.” In collaboration with UP Campus Tours (UPCT), the UP Museums aimed to engage diverse communities and showcase university museums as inclusive learning spaces. Visitors can enjoy guided tours of the various collections with well-informed tour guides. Our highlight was seeing the Mapungubwe collection.
