I joined the gym in 2022. It was a pleasant experience, they have good equipment and good people.
I am a student who took 2022 off and made an income for the year. I knew I wouldn't be able to pay the the following year, after going back to my studies, so I paid for the year ahead of time.
After the full payment, they increased the monthly fee and I paid that as well. I paid for their service in full, in advance, and canceled in the month I was told to cancel.
The day we canceled they started with their nonsense. They charge me for an extra month, even after I paid the full amount for the service I used. I go to the gyms branch, call the finance department and, allegedly, it was sorted. I went to the bank to confirm and saw that I have no debit orders in wait. At this point I thought the slight hiccup was over.
About half a year later some attorney office call, stating I owe an extra payment. Strange.... I already called their finance and confirmed I did not have to pay.
I, and my girlfriend in the same situation, call finance again. Both of us call at separate times and both of us receive the same confirmation that it was a clerical error from the gym's side. They state they will fix the error and we can enjoy our day. Sorted. Again.
I should not have been as surprised when the same attorney office contacts us. Again. We call the finance office. Again. This time the song and dance is different. Unlike first few times we call. Unequivocally, owe the extra payment.
How is it possible that a clerical error suddenly vanishes? Mind you, the same error that two previous employees could find independently of one another.
The situation is pending. I asked the nice lady at the desk to listen to the recordings of the previous calls. And contact whoever to put the final pin in this drawn out error.
Please correct this error and have a wonderful day.
Update. They did not come back to us after the alleged investigation.
We call again. They put us on hold for 20 minutes then the call cuts. We try a different phone to call them. They hang up when they hear us again.
Please be sure not to fall for their charm. If you want to cancel, do it at least 2 weeks before your contract expires. If you don't they will refuse to help or be reasonable.
Truly, it is would be wise to steer clear of them all together.
We are now in the Hatfield Branch. We called them again. They said they will call us back on the branch's landline.

I've trained at a couple different clubs and, honestly, the team at Hatfield have shown themselves continuously to be the most reliable of them all, so much so that I solely work out here. My greatest compliment goes to Bennett who had signed me. Secondly, the facilities are so well kept—clean for the most part. However, it is not perfect.
