We had a very unpleasant experience in this restaurant. At the door, we asked the staff(Mandarin speaking) for the cost of certain add-on dishes ie adding beef to 2-pax pork set meal. We found the price reasonable and proceeded inside for our meal. The quality of the meats were all right, not spectacular. At the cashier counter, I accidentally held my phone next to NFC payment machine and payment went through even before I could check/verify the amount. It turned out to be krw20 000 MORE than advised at door. We asked cashier to verify. Cashier says its not his problem, we were to ask the wait staff. Wait staff denied quoting us said price. We asked to speak to the boss. Both staff said boss isn't around. Wait staff started badgering my brother and son(we were traveling together), insisting I heard wrongly and surely they would have no such recollection of said price. I was very upset by this time and raised my voice. Miraculously, 'boss' appeared. We agreed on a refund of an amount . I explained that this is not about the money but the ethics and principals behind how they conduct business. Buyers beware - I'd say, avoid this shop totally. One of the good things about travelling is to try new things, among them local food. This restaurant was a random choice. We were looking for a place to lunch in the Black Street Pork, saw this one, and entered. The order is made through a digital menu where you can see all the available dishes. Since the speciality is pork, we choose a pork dish. It is served with several side dishes which are cooked on the table. The staff will take care of it and will let you know when the food is ready to be eaten. One of the funniest things is the robot, which brings the side dishes. The best food experience we had since we arrived in Korea. Our experience was really different to the reviews below, perhaps they have improved. Not only was the food delicious, the excellent service made the money spent more worth it. Sauce for black pork (on the small metal bowl) was delicious, portion was huge, and the kimchi fried rice was cute. Staffs were friendly and kind. One of us was allergic to pork and the staffs were so accommodating to provide two seperate grills for pork and beef. Again, excellent welcoming service that is memorable...
