You will pass this on the way to the Gyeonghoeru Pavilion. This building is one of the two most important buildings in the Palace, the other being the throne hall. Sujeongjeon was used by several government offices and is considered one of the two most important buildings in the Palace. (the other being the throne hall, or Geunjeongjeon). Many rulers would spend time working and relaxing here. Reconstructed and preserved in its original structure since 1867. The tree is front is such a crowd favorite for taking pictures when wearing traditional Korean dress, known as Hanbok. Walk a few feet toward the gate where you came in and look for this interesting tree with an actual seat carved into it. Take a seat and rest for a while.
