There was a function party on beside the restaurant so we were really confused how to get in so we needed to ask. We were seated outside by the water and it was stunning. All other tables were English speaking and the other staff could speak good English. We were beginning to be served by a young lady who had limited English and we had limited Spanish so that didn't bode well. It took about 10 minutes to get a drinks order, but another waiter soon took our order instead. As there was a big table celebrating a birthday beside us, the servers seemed rushed and a bit frantic. I decided to moved seats on the table as some of the party stood behind smoking which I didn't appreciate. We we given our cava by a lovely lady with dark hair who explained why the glasses weren't flutes and a wider glass instead (to maintain the aroma). We ordered mussels with bread and fish croquettes with hummus to start. The servers were attentive in ensuring there was enough bread. We enjoyed both of these starters- an efficient and carefully prepared way of removing half of the mussel shell for easy access. The sauce was tasty. I liked the croquettes, definitely full of fish but I'm not sure if the hummus complimented it (as smooth as it was). This was followed by a fish meatball and prawn curry and grilled tuna with mashed potato which was all served quickly. Both extremely tasty and it was all top notch. This was where service became quite slow, there seemed to be many waiters down one end of the balcony and not the other. We asked to look at the dessert menu and the man who had a bandage round his fingers helpfully recommended wine with some of them. They didn't have the dessert I wanted so we opted for an Irish coffee and a rooibos tea. This took over 20 minutes to arrive and the same server had to check on the person at the bar who was making them. It then took a further 15 minutes post-coffee to ask for the bill. The same gent server gave us the bill and we gave an extra tip because he seemed really rushed and was doing a lot of the waiting? It seemed a bit unorganized and we left almost 3 hours after we were seated. It is a lovely place, food top notch but it felt busy despite it not being at full capacity with noone seated inside. In the end and I think the staff were overwhelmed, although there seemed to be enough staff. We would go again but on a...

Another fancy place in Barcelona’s port where food is quite average nothing wow. When will us locals will be able to enjoy a place that offers great food in that area?

We don’t mind paying. What we don’t like is visiting places with raving reviews written by “tourists” who haven’t got much knowledge into Barcelona’s food offering.

Whilst the waiters did their best to offer us a good service the food didn’t hit the notes for the prices they charge.

We ordered: Bikini Croquetas 🔝 Salmorejo tasted not home made but rather industrial. Lobster Roll with almost no lobster served in a huge brioche with lots of sauce a bit too rich and with no sides so we ordered fries that were frozen fries. Fish canelones that again were ok not great. Lemon fish sashimi which took forever but when they eventually brought it, was nice in fact the nicest of the things we ordered. Bread that they served and charged at €3 the piece was good too. Wine selection also good.

Overall Vraba is just another place.. definitely not getting the hype and 4.7 rating it claims to have.

Fiske bar just not too far from this place is way better and whilst pricey at least is worth it.

Again best thing we had today was the service, waiters doing their best despite the food not delivering the standards it charges and the time they took to bring the food when it was only 10% full.

I’m sorry to be too harsh but is just tiring to have limited options always when...

Disrespectful and disorganized – avoid at all costs

We had a confirmed reservation at 8:30 PM. Upon arrival, the front door was literally being shut in our face by rude and aggressive bouncers. No explanation, no apology — just a cold “we’re closed.” Moments later, we learned that a private event was starting at 9 PM, and the venue had simply decided not to cancel or inform existing reservations.

This is the epitome of disrespect for customers. No email, no call, not even a sign at the door. We weren’t the only ones left standing outside feeling confused and insulted — clearly, this wasn’t an isolated incident.

Vraba may pretend to be a stylish hotspot, but this kind of arrogance and lack of basic hospitality is inexcusable. If you value your time — and your dignity —...

The place is amazing, with a spectacular vibe by the docks and a great cocktail menu inspired by the America’s cup teams and the earth winds. Nonetheless, and despite an attentive service, the food is a just correct if not disappointing considering the chefs behind the project. If you pictured a restaurant like this by the harbor you would immediately think of fresh fish and seafood with a creative twist. On the contrary, they have sushi, a few reimagined dishes and then three kinds of fish. Their menu used to feature tuna “steak”, catches of the day, etc. but that seems to be gone. As a local I am really sorry that the project does not seem to be sailing at full speed because we need different approaches that revitalize the city.
